Cooking fast and easy: beer dough

Beer, despite the fact that it is an alcoholic product, contains a large number of useful substances, and its use in cooking can give an amazing result. This drink is added when frying and stewing meat, fish, vegetables, but beer dough can turn out to be especially successful. It is not necessary to add eggs to the dough obtained in this way, but it can be used for making bagels, cookies, pies, pasties, and much more.

Beer dough can be prepared as follows. You will need a package (200 grams) of butter, 400 grams of flour and a glass of beer. Pour half the flour into a bowl, add the grated butter (before that, it is advisable to hold it in the freezer) and add the remaining flour. Stir the resulting mass gently, adding a little beer. Ready dough should not stick to your hands, if this happens, then add flour. For the manufacture of cookies, the resulting dough should be rolled out in a thin layer, cut out various figures, sprinkled with pastry poppy seeds (powdered sugar or something else to taste) and baked in the oven over medium heat.

In the same way, you can make pizza dough on beer. A large selection of toppings for this dish will diversify the menu. Thanks to the addition of a foamy drink, the dough becomes more tender, and tastes like puff. It can be stored in the refrigerator, and when unexpected guests arrive, get it out, add the filling (almost everything can work on pizza: sausages, mushrooms, chicken, cheese and much more), and a delicious dish is ready in 20 minutes.

If we talk about the dough for pasties on beer, it should be noted that it should be cool so that the juice that will be released from the filling during frying does not leak out. To prepare this test, you need to take half a bottle of light beer, a pinch of soda, salt, two glasses of flour. Beer should be slightly heated, introduce all other ingredients and a little butter into it. If there is not enough flour, you need to add. The result should be an elastic dough. Covering with a towel or napkin, you need to let the dough stand for about forty minutes, after which you can start sculpting. The stuffing for pasties is usually ground beef or pork, slightly diluted with milk (to the consistency of sour cream). However, you can use stewed cabbage or potatoes with mushrooms for these purposes, especially for lovers of lean dishes. Semi-circular chebureks are molded, similar to large manti. It is important to pinch the edges tightly, it is better to make it a special device, then they will turn out juicy.

For pies, the dough can be made in the same way, while adding a little less flour so that it is softer and more magnificent.

Choux pastry on beer can be used to make cakes and pastries. To do this, a packet of margarine is chopped with a sifted flour knife until small lumps are obtained, 170 grams of beer are poured, the dough is mixed and refrigerated. It tastes like puff on the palate. It will be successful to use it in the manufacture of a cake known as Napoleon with custard or cream, as well as envelopes filled with chopped apples with sugar or other fruits.
