This type of meat has one peculiarity - a specific smell. Therefore, before preparing the rabbit, it should be soaked in milk, a weak solution of vinegar or water. Then you can choose one of the many recipes.

So what to cook from a rabbit? Let's start with a simple recipe. Take a medium-sized carcass, wash it well and cut it into pieces. Then sprinkle them with salt and pepper. We put a frying pan on the fire and fry the slices in vegetable oil. Three onions must be peeled and cut into small pieces. Fry the onion until a pleasant golden color. Put the meat in a pan, preferably with a thick bottom, and transfer it with onions. Pour in there about two glasses of water and simmer for half an hour. Then add a glass of sour cream, which is pre-mixed with grated cheese (100 grams). Stew the rabbit for another 40 minutes.

What to cook from a rabbit

And now about how to cook a rabbit with potatoes. This is a roast. Take half the rabbit and cut it into pieces. Add salt and pepper. Fry them in a pan with a thick bottom. Then we pour in water so that it covers the meat. Cook it for about 40 minutes. After that, add the bay leaf, pepper, chopped onion (one head) and half a kilogram of chopped potato (preferably young) to the resulting broth. Cook until the potatoes are ready. Serve with greenery.

And another recipe for how to cook a rabbit with vegetables. We take about 600 grams of meat. Cut it into pieces. Rub them with salt and pepper and fry until a good crust appears. Boil 5 potato tubers in salt water, but not until fully cooked. We do the same with carrots.

Peel two cloves of garlic. We chop potatoes and carrots coarsely. Leek, parsley and green onions are also cut, but very finely. Mix all the ingredients except meat.

We take a baking sheet and put a rabbit on it, put vegetables around. We put the dish in the oven, which we preheat, for 30 minutes.

Rabbit meat dishes can be served in a variety of sauces. For example, under tomato mushrooms. To prepare it, you need to take fresh champignons and cut them into plates. Then fry the mushrooms in a pan. Add chopped greens and tomato paste. Pour the fried rabbit slices with the prepared sauce.
