Theater History
In 1927, a drama named after M. Gorky was opened. The theater (Dnepropetrovsk) was formed from the troupe of the Small Drama Theater of Moscow, which at that time was on tour in the city. The idea of ββcreating an art temple in the city belonged to the executive committee of the city council.
The young theater of Russian drama was headed by Vladimir Ermolov-Borozdin. This is an extraordinary person. V. Ermolov-Borozdin created the concept according to which the theater lives now: "Talk about the modern with contemporaries in the modern language."
In the early years of the drama, almost all plays by Maxim Gorky were staged in Dnepropetrovsk. This became the reason that the theater in 1934 was called his name.
The Drama Theater has been proud of its wonderful personnel all the years of its existence. Talented directors have served and are serving here. "Goners"
This is a new performance of the drama named after M. Gorky. Theater (Dnepropetrovsk) tells in this production the story of war veterans who live in a boarding house. The performance combines light sadness, love for a person and soft humor. The story is full of funny dialogues, it has a lot of funny misunderstandings and a completely unexpected ending. The main roles in the production are played by Vladimir Zhevora, Sergey Fedorenko and Evgeny Zvyagin. They managed to create interesting, memorable and vivid images of their characters. They make viewers laugh heartily and empathize.
The play is based on the play by J. Sibleyras. The director was the actor Valery Zubchik.
