Abortive drugs: pills and herbs

Abortion drugs are substances that can terminate a pregnancy before the age of twenty-eight weeks. Most of the attitude towards them is negative. Moreover, it is not so much the moral aspect that is taken into account as the very effect of such substances. For example, some abortion drugs do not act specifically on the uterus or the fetus - a miscarriage simply becomes a kind of complication, although it is the ultimate goal of taking such substances. Even those substances that act on the uterus, still cause the body irreparable harm, severely poisoning it with its harmful components.

Among the most powerful abortion drugs are nicotine, adrenaline, ergot drugs, pilocarpine, muscarin, and quinine. For example, even a small dose of adrenaline causes strong uterine contractions, not to mention the targeted administration of standard doses to cause a miscarriage. Adrenaline, quinine, nicotine and pilocarpine act on the nervous system, thereby causing uterine contractions, but morphine does not cause uterine contractions even at high doses, but this substance disrupts the blood circulation in the fetus, which leads to fetal death.

Abortive drugs with ergot in their composition lead to severe intoxication of the mother's body and to the death of the child. Often, a woman herself can become a victim of such substances, since poisoning is very severe.

Enough formidable drugs are those that contain essential oils of herbs, for example, tansy, peppermint, sage, nutmeg , and rosemary. Therefore, during pregnancy, a woman is better to abandon any drugs that include abortive herbs. Any drugs should be taken only after consulting a doctor.

In order for a woman to terminate her pregnancy before six weeks, the pharmacy produces abortive pills. These funds can be divided into two groups: those that provoke uterine contractions and expulsion of the fetus, and those that block the production of progesterone, without which pregnancy is not possible.

The first group includes drugs such as Postinor or Ginepriston. They are recommended to be used immediately after sexual intercourse, which poses a threat to an unwanted pregnancy (for example, after rape, accidental sexual intercourse). It is necessary to take the drug as soon as possible, so that under the influence of substances the uterine mucosa changes and becomes unable to accept a fertilized egg. After some time wandering around the uterus, the egg dies and is excreted with menstruation. It is always worth remembering that such drugs contain a โ€œhorse doseโ€ of hormones, which are mainly used to hit the ovaries. Such abortion drugs should not be used often, it can lead to infertility, cyst formation, rapid weight gain, etc. Such drugs are sold at a pharmacy without a prescription.

The second group is represented by the famous Mifegin and Mifepristone, which are also effective at the very beginning of pregnancy. Such drugs are prescribed only by a doctor, are used under strict control and clearly at the appointed hours according to the instructions. You canโ€™t buy them at the pharmacy. At the hospital, a woman signs a paper according to which she knows about the abortive effects of the pills and agrees to their use. After receiving after a certain time, menstruation should go, about which the woman notifies the doctor. After menstruation, an ultrasound examination is indicated for the presence of fetal residues in order to determine the need for curettage.

Do not frivolously take abortion products, which at first glance are a great alternative to curettage. Taking these drugs does not always guarantee a complete cleansing of the uterine cavity, and the woman will still have an unpleasant procedure, and even the use of pills leads to a strong hormonal surge, because the body has already been rebuilt in a new way.
