Dosage form

The medicine "Cardiomagnyl" is supplied in two types of tablets - the first in the shape of a heart, the second are oval. All pills are white.

Structure:

Active substance:

  • Magnesium hydroxide - 75/150 mg (in 1 tablet, respectively)
  • Acetylsalicylic acid - 15/30 mg (in 1 tablet, respectively)

Excipients:

  • Hypromellose
  • Corn starch
  • Magnesium stearate
  • Potato starch
  • Microcrystalline cellulose
  • Talc

pharmachologic effect

The drug "Cardiomagnyl" is an NSAID and antiplatelet agent. The mechanism of action of the drug is as follows - acetylsalicylic acid confidently and irreversibly inhibits cyclooxygenase enzymes, after which the synthesis of thromboxane A2 is interrupted, and platelet aggregation is also inhibited . In addition, it is generally accepted that acetylsalicylic acid has other mechanisms of action on platelet aggregation, which can significantly expand the scope for the use of this drug. Acetylsalicylic acid, in addition, has analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic effects.

Magnesium hydroxide is able to protect the gastrointestinal mucosa from the harmful effects of acetylsalicylic acid.
