For a variety of leisure activities, we suggest you learn how to draw with a simple pencil. This is a very exciting activity, and everyone, regardless of skills and age, is able to master the science of drawing. To do this, just follow the advice of the masters, work hard - and you can create decent graphic drawings.
Any drawing is created in stages. First we draw the general contours, then give the forms certainty and accuracy, with the finishing touches we bring naturalness. Using this algorithm, it is easy and simple to create a wide variety of drawings. Using an example, we show how to draw a sparrow with a pencil in stages.
Learn to draw birds. Stage One - The Main Contours
Almost everywhere you can meet these daring and fast little birds. In the early morning they wake us with a loud, fervent tweet. Although we often see these birds and are used to them, drawing a sparrow with a pencil is not as easy as it seems at first glance. Let's get started.
Step 1. Basting
To make the picture pleasing to the eye, it is very important to correctly designate the initial contours of the sparrow. We outline the body of the bird in the form of an inclined oval, on top of which we will plant a circle - the future head. We draw a triangle at the back - the base of the tail.
Step 2. We give the contours certainty
Connect the head and body in a smooth line so that the head appears to be slightly sticking up. A little below the junction of the circle and the oval we give the line a slight bulge - this will be the breast of the bird. At the bottom of the oval, we’ll outline the sparrow’s legs very close to the tail. The base of the tail-triangle is extended by a straight line.
An example of how to draw a sparrow bird at this stage is shown in the figure.
Step 3. Refine the picture
Seamlessly finish the back. Thicken the straight line defining the tail of the bird. Connect this line to the back line. With an unfinished triangle, draw the dividing contour of the wing, as shown in the example.
Now you need to depict the paws. We draw them in parallel vertical and parallel horizontal strokes. The vertical lines should be slightly longer than the horizontal ones.
To understand how to draw a sparrow with a pencil in stages, it will be useful to study the image of the skeleton of a bird. Knowledge of the structure of the bird is just useful at this stage.
Remove the excess lines with an eraser. At the top of the head, mark the position of the eye. At the sparrow it is small and round. Directly opposite the eye, draw a short, wide beak. Smoothly mark the future “hat” and “tie” of the bird.
Now critically evaluate the fruits of your labor. At this step of the lesson "How to draw a sparrow with a pencil in stages" you should already get a high-quality picture.
Step 4. Let's make the picture natural
The work is almost ready. Now pay attention to the plumage of a sparrow. Let's start with the tail, as the simplest element. In thick, clear, straight lines, we shade the tail from top to bottom, gradually weakening the pressure of the pencil.
Sharp bottom of the wing (flight feathers) we shade tightly. We draw the upper part of the wing with cone-shaped smooth lines, as shown in the example. Gently pushing the pencil, draw in the form of sharp small angles feathers of a bird located under the middle part of the wing.
Draw details such as the eye and beak more carefully. Do not forget to add a tiny highlight of light to the pupil of the eye.
Final chords
The graphic image can already be considered finished. Now you know how to draw a sparrow in stages. But for a drawing to become a masterpiece, it must be properly shaded. To do this, recall the color of the sparrow.
On the sparrow’s head there is a gray or brown hat that covers his forehead, crown and back of his head. On bright cheeks, a pronounced darkening in the form of wide stripes at eye level is clearly visible.
The back of a sparrow is brown in color with black longitudinal wide streaks. However, this clarification is not needed, since in our figure the sparrow is depicted sideways, so its back is not visible.
The tail feathers are brown with narrow light contours. The feathers of the wings are also brown with a light border.
The chin and throat of the bird are black, and the stomach is gray or light gray.
The sparrow's paws are dark brown, the beak is black.
If this information does not help you figure out how to draw a sparrow with a pencil, gradually shade your bird in the manner shown in the example.
Some general tips
The success of an artist is determined not only by enthusiasm. A good result is achieved when the wizard has all the necessary tools at hand:
- good quality paper;
- several sharpened simple pencils of various densities;
- soft eraser.
Mark the contour lines of a drawing very easily without clicking on a pencil. Giving the image the desired shape and certainty, draw contours with stronger pressure to get sharp lines. Before shading, remove all unnecessary with the eraser. Shade the drawing carefully, without dimming sharply individual elements, since it is easy to make a darker area from light, but on the contrary it is unlikely to succeed.
