In this article we will consider a poem written by Nikolai Alekseevich in 1864, we will analyze it. "Railway" (Nekrasov) - a work that is poetic not only because of the brightness of the created paintings, the charm of landscapes. It is such, first of all, because the property of poetry is an internal measure by which everything is evaluated in this work.
Landscape in a poem
The landscape depicted in the poem is poetry of a special kind. The author indicates the time - autumn, and together with it uses the phrase "vigorous air" - a daring application that seems to break the connection with the tradition of describing this time of year in Russian poetry. Nature, calling for sleep, not sleep, is worth a lot. A tired peasant man wants to relax, go into nature. But not in order to find bliss in truth, but simply in order to get enough sleep.
The scope of the poetic
At the same time, the sphere of the poetic does not disappear; on the contrary, it expands. In the world around, everything is depicted lyrically, even objects uncharacteristic of tradition: moss bumps and stumps, ice, "as if melting sugar." Nekrasov's poem is open to nature. Not only inside the carriage, but already outside it, we swallow the healing air, which invigorates the "tired forces". You can get enough sleep near the forest, as if “in a soft bed” - here the communion with nature is transmitted almost physical, not in the Tütchevsky, high sense, but in the most direct, direct, but in its own way high. Nekrasov does not prose the poetic, but, on the contrary, poetizes everything prosaic. He says that he everywhere recognizes the "native Russia" - as if he were absorbing it.
Composition
We continue our analysis. "Railway" (Nekrasov) is divided into several parts. In the first of them, the description of nature attunes to the perception of its significance. In the introduction, the motives and intonations of the folk song are heard. Here is the "icy river", "darling Russia". A people who will speak about themselves a little later are already represented here. Through the poet and in him, he declares himself.
Unity of parts
It should be noted the internal unity of the first and second parts of this work. This is not a contrast, as you might think. Both that and another picture are poetic. The amazing dream Vanya saw is a liberating convention, which makes it possible to observe many things that you will not find in everyday life. This motive was often used in domestic literature even before Nekrasov. Recall, for example, Chernyshevsky and Radishchev. Nikolai Alekseevich's dream ceases to be only a conditional motive. It is a striking phenomenon, where realistic images are unusually and boldly combined with poetic impressionism. This dream is not described to identify some subconscious states, but at the same time it does not cease to be a subconscious phenomenon in itself. What happens takes place in a dream, more precisely, in an atmosphere of unusual half-nap. The storyteller tells something all the time, and the boy sees something with his childish, worried imagination, and much more than what was told to him. Vanya’s interlocutor talks about the bones, and now, as if in a romantic fairy tale, they came to life; tells about the hard life of some people, and they sang a terrible song to the boy. Woke up again, awakened Vanya cannot understand where reality is, and where is dream.

The motive of sleep in the work
We continue our analysis. "Railway" (Nekrasov) - a work in which it is not by chance that the motive of sleep is included. The boy’s dream was already partly prepared by the introduction landscape, on this moonlit night. An element of its description also appears in the second part. The "moonlight" will be exactly repeated, preceding the dream.
The poet Nekrasov does not allow, however, Nekrasov the painter to add a single extra paint to the work, as he strives for the concentration, almost hypnotic, of his poems.
Together with the boy, we are immersed in an atmosphere of half-nap, drowsiness. The story is built not only as a narrative about the truth of life, but also as a fairy tale, addressed to Van.
Hence the fabulous scale and artlessness of the very first images of the work: enormous work, he alone "can not afford", there is a king in the world who is merciless, and his name is hunger.
Sleep ballad
There is still no sleep. Only a train, a road, a dormant boy, and the poet interrupts the story for the only time, connecting the rhythm of the road to it, it seems to lull him, after which Vanin begins a dream, which is described as a ballad. Dead people with a gnashing of teeth, a strange song, the moon - accessories typical for ballad poetry. They thicken in the first stanzas and thereby enhance the feeling of sleep, as the analysis of the work of The Railway (Nekrasov) shows. The ballad is emphasized, as if declaring a high romantic tradition, within the framework of which there will be a story about the people, turning into a song.
Two people
We continue our analysis. "Railway" (Nekrasov) - a work in which two peoples are shown, and, accordingly, two different relations are given to him. There is indignation, but at the same time tenderness. The people are described both in moral poetic essence, and in slavish passivity, which causes bitter irony in the author.
An analysis of the poem "Railroad" (Nekrasov) suggests that the image of a people revealed in a dream is unusually large-scale and tragic. With the story of Belarus, his description, he becomes as if impassive dryness, which contains the premise of a new explosion, lyrical pathos. The sketch ends with the words that he did not straighten his back, is silent and mechanically hammering the frozen ground with a shovel. This work is called "noble." But what at first glance may seem like a logical inconsistency is drowning in the stream of inspiration by popular labor, this suggests that the author goes far in this enthusiasm and thinks little about exposing the people.

An analysis of the verse “Railway” by Nekrasov shows, therefore, that reality is described in the first part of the work, and sleep in the second, but there is also something that unites them: this is the poetry of nature, which is popularly accepted, the poetry of heroism and suffering. In the third part, reality is again. Awakening unexpectedly, the transition is abrupt. It is not spoken of. We are only awakened by sounds, a whistle, "screeching". The dream is broken, but his poetry is preserved.
