There are many obsessive fears: all known claustrophobia and its opposite - agoraphobia (fear of open space), aerophobia (fear of flying on an airplane) and others. Pediophobia is less common.
Soul relocationPerhaps for some she appeared after meeting with a famous character? Chucky’s doll could have inspired pediophobia, because this term means fear of dolls. A character was invented a quarter of a century ago by Don Mancini, and it marked the beginning of the Children's Game franchise. Then the film with an unusual villain-killer in the face of a toy red-haired boy cut his budget four times and immediately found many fans.
It all began in this story that a dying maniac addicted to magic voodoo managed to transfer his spirit to the first toy he got (escaping from police harassment, Charles got to the toy store) - it turned out to be Chucky's doll (then it was simply called “The Good Guy” )
Having got to the boy Andy, this little monster began to commit villainous killings, and along the way he came up with a plan on how to regain its human appearance. In the first frames, the viewer gets acquainted with the psychopath Charles Lee Ray (it is curious that this name is collected from three others belonging to the famous killers, the most famous of which are Charlie Manson and Lee Harvey Oswald). It is played by Brad Durif, who later became Chucky's “voice” for all the films of the cycle. Debuting in the role of Billy (for which he claimed an Oscar) in the Forman film "Flying Over the Cuckoo's Nest", this artist was later remembered by the public as the sinister Grima from The Lord of the Rings.
Unconvincing sequel
The next two sequels - the sequel and triquel of the "Children's Game" - did not arouse the enthusiasm of the audience. Assembled in parts by unsuspecting people, the Chucky doll resurrects again and again, leaving a bloody trail and continuing to try to find a human essence in the body of Andy, who has grown up. However, the plots were far-fetched, and the actions of the characters were unconvincing. Horror doll Chuckie no longer instills. A somewhat exaggerated black comedy fully bloomed in the fourth part of the franchise - “The Bride of Chucky”. In this film, the Chucky doll gets to the former bride of Charles Tiffany, who was brilliantly performed by
Jennifer Tilly. The red-haired beast manages to kill the girl and imprison her soul in another doll. Now, two sinister toys are scouring for victims.
Wife and kids
The most criticized was the painting "The Progeny of Chucky." The authors clearly went too far with the vulgarity and trashiness of what once began as a horror movie worthy of attention. The son of Chuckie and Tiffany Glen, doubting the male gender (!) And sometimes calling himself Glenda, again releases the monsters at will, finding mom and dad on the set, where they make a film about them. The Chucky doll with his wife, of course, are immediately taken for the old. They take Jennifer Tilly hostage (being the “voice” of Tiffany).
Don Mancini, who has been the author of the script for the Chucky series all these years, in 2013 decided to become the director of his next brainchild. He shot the next part - “The Curse of Chucky.” This time, the doll inexplicably appears in two sisters (or rather, in the little daughter of one of them). And, of course, Chucky is true to his evil nature. The picture is interesting in that the main character is played by the daughter of Bred Durif - Fiona, well, and daddy still voices the satanic toy.
