German rock singer, singer and musician Deris Andy (photos are presented on the page) was born on August 18, 1964 in the city of Karlsruhe. He is currently the vocalist of the popular band "Halloween", the author of numerous hits, the owner of the recording studio Mi Sueno, located on the island of Tenerife (Canary Islands).
Teen and hard rock
Andy became interested in rock music at the age of fourteen after hearing the British band Sweet. The young man was drawn to hard rock, and he decided to learn how to play the guitar.
In 1979, the legendary KISS arrived in Karlsruhe on a one-day visit, and Andy attended her concert. Impressions were enough for the whole year. And in early 1980, Deris Andy organized his own group called "Paranoid". In the process of becoming a sixteen-year-old novice musician, he realized that a good guitar player would not work out of him, and then he turned his attention to vocal training.
They managed to find the drummer right away, they were Ralph Mason. Then Deris Andy met Koffler Alfred, who played the guitar in the group "Dragon". Listening to Andy once, the musicians of the Dragon suggested he go on a tour with them, which lasted as long as a whole year.
Concert activity and its consequences
Concert activity, on the one hand, was useful for Deris, but it ended with expulsion from the university. Andy dropped out. However, he was not too upset and created the group "Pink Cream 69", named after the popular cocktail. The musicians picked up quite good, and soon "Cream" won a contest organized by the Iron Hammer magazine.
After such success, the group began to receive offers from record companies. Musicians chose Sony Music, and in 1989 the presentation of the first album took place. Deris Andy became a famous musician precisely in the composition of Pink Cream 69, although he had long wanted to play with his friend Michael Wikat in “Halloween”, where he directed all the activities of the popular sextet.
Change of priorities
In the end, Deris Andy left the Pink Cream and joined the Wikata group. It must be said that Deris’s musical level allowed him to immediately take a leading position in “Halloween”, he began to write good compositions, composed quite professional arrangements and in general conducted all the work that is necessary for the group’s activities. Weikath, who could now breathe quietly, helped Andy as much as possible.
The first album of the group with vocalist Deris, entitled "The Lord of the Rings" was the beginning of the next stage in the work of "Halloween". And the second disc, which Andy called "Oath of Time", was the most successful in the history of the group.
Solo albums
In “Halloween”, Andy Deris became the sole author of the songs, but he still had many songs that did not fit the group in format. The material had to be done somewhere, and Andy decided to release his solo album with these songs. He consulted with the musicians, and they decided that another disc would only expand the repertoire and enhance the reputation of "Halloween".
In March 1997, the album was released. True, the sound of the singles was very reminiscent of the songs from "Pink Cream" when Deris was there, but overall the disc turned out to be quite good and sold well. Two years later, Andy released another solo album.
Personal life
Andy Deris is a wonderful family man, he married once and is happy with his chosen one. Wife Lydia brings up a common pet Ron, who was born in 1993. Andy writes his guitar and vocal works exclusively at home, where everything inspires him, starting from the front lawn and ending with the attic, gloomy and damp.
In 1994, Deris with his whole family left Germany and moved to one of the Canary Islands, Tenerife. Andy bought the house purchased on the archipelago into a record company, brought in good equipment and set to work. True, you only have to record your works, it is not so easy to get from Europe to Tenerife, so Deris's clientele is still very modest.
Andy Deris, whose personal life fully meets the needs of himself and loved ones, is trying to establish his life between recordings of his disks, a sandy beach, walks under the moon and other no less pleasant things.
