Life before the adventures

The film almost does not tell about the childhood and youth of Elizabeth. But in the context of the film, it becomes clear that at an early age the girl lost her mother, and her father was engaged in her upbringing. The fate of Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann have some similarities. When the guy was only 10 years old, his mother died, after which he went sailing in the Caribbean, trying to find his father, whose role was played by Stellan Skarsgård. But unlike Will, Elizabeth lives in a wealthy family and does not know anything in need. Her father, Witherby Swann, is a high-ranking official who later became Governor of Port Royal. The girl lives a carefree life until the moment when she comes face to face with the pirates of the "Black Pearl" who stole Elizabeth from her own home.

The character and appearance of the girl

Keira Knightley perfectly played the role of Elizabeth Swann. This image combines a true lady and a risky, brave girl. She is not very trusting, unlike Will Turner. Elizabeth is a pretty girl with a rare and unusual hair color. Light brown curls with a dark shade are more typical for Normans, while British women are mostly red, and American women have dark hair. Elizabeth has brown eyes.

The first film "The Curse of the Black Pearl"

The acquaintance of Will Turner and Elizabeth occurred in childhood. The ship, on which the girl and her father headed for Port Royal, picks up a boy from the shipwrecked ship in the middle of the sea. Elizabeth saw a pirate medallion around his neck, and while Will was unconscious, she removed and hid him so that the guy would not be mistaken for a corsair. When the girl was 20 years old, her father decides to betroth her to Norrington, a successful commander. However, Elizabeth does not like this union, as she has tender feelings for a simple blacksmith - Will Turner.

The pirates attack Port Royal and agree to leave him alone if they give them the locket. The robbers are looking not only for this mysterious trinket, but also for its owner. The kidnapped girl calls herself Elizabeth Turner, not suspecting that it was the descendants of the pirate "Hip" (Bill Turner) who were sought by bandits to remove the ancient curse imposed by the Aztecs.
