The film directed by Georgy Yungvald-Khilkevich was based on the work of the same name by Sergei Abramov. In the center of the story is the story of schoolboy Alik. Dmitry Maryanov has long understood that he must certainly become an actor. In his school years, he was fond of stage productions, combining many other activities: swimming, gymnastics, acrobatics. He played the first role at the age of 14 in the film “Was not”. After him, Jungwald-Khilkevich noticed. By the way, in the film, Alika is voiced by Dmitry Kharatyan, and musical numbers are performed by Vladimir Presnyakov Jr.
After graduating from the Shchukin school, Maryanov worked at the Lenkom Theater. Known to the modern viewer in the paintings “The Diary of a Killer”, “Balzac Age ...”, “The Death of the Empire”. According to Marianov himself and his many admirers, Alik from the movie “Above the Rainbow” remains the best role.
Actors of family comedy, which was given the status of youth, include Ekaterina Parfyonova, who embodied the main female image. According to the plot, Dasha makes a minor mistake, but in order to hide her guilt, Alik confesses to the crime. For this, the Siren robs him of his magical abilities in jumping, which again makes the hero a loser in sports achievements. Catherine, who was 14 years old at the time of filming, played a cameo role in the drama “Publication”. Since then, she no longer acts in films.
“Above the rainbow.” Actors and supporting roles
And although teenagers are predominant in the picture, more adult characters also found a place. The fabulous Ivan the Fool was played by Yuri Kuklachev. According to the plot, the main character freed the unlucky Ivan Ivanovich from the spell. In gratitude, he suggested another desire, but seeing that it is better not to get involved with the “fool”, Alik himself helps him solve his everyday problems.
Clownery artist, Yuri Dmitrievich is better known as a pet lover, the founder of the cat theater, with whom he successfully tours the country. Kuklachev’s track record includes only two film works, but, of course, the tape “Above the Rainbow” remains vivid and memorable.
Actors (photo attached), not requiring introduction, played small roles in the picture. First of all, this applies to Mikhail Boyarsky. His appearance in the image of Father Alik is, rather, the nature of a special invitation. A recognized master of the Soviet and Russian screens, the owner of several awards and titles, Mikhail Sergeyevich starred in a large number of films. Of course, his best images are known to every viewer: Chevalier De Brilli, Don Cesar de Bazan, d'Artagnan.
The sports coach of the protagonist was played by Galina Polskikh. In childhood, the actress saw the horrors of war, raised by her grandmother. The first role was played in the 1962 film “The Wild Dog of the Dingo,” and graduated from the theater school two years later. For her creative work, Galina Aleksandrovna embodied on the screen a lot of different roles, mostly positive than negative. The track record also includes appearance in secondary images. A great opportunity was the movie “Above the Rainbow”.
Actors and heroes of this family history could not do without such a character as a physical education teacher nicknamed BIM. Butyrina Irina Mikhailovna was played by actress Olga Mashnaya. She received acting education in 1986, and before that she had already acted in films. The picture “Above the Rainbow”, which appeared on the screens when Olga graduated from VGIK, was no exception. Mashnoy’s acting is truly impressive. In more than forty roles played, she managed to be a princess, a maid, a kidnapper. One of the last works is in the series “Sklifosovsky”.
Back to the past
“Above the rainbow” was more associated with the teenage picture, therefore it was often broadcast on school holidays. Success came from an unexpected side: in the mid-80s, the mass production of video tapes began, and the film fell into that number. In the modern world, a digitized DVD version with English subtitles has been released. The picture was also shown in a number of foreign countries.
The efforts of the creative team have earned well-deserved recognition: the film “Above the Rainbow” (the actors and roles were discussed above) was very popular with viewers, flying up in the lists of television rentals.
Many viewers admitted that they periodically review “Above the Rainbow”. He became that few film reminiscent of a serene childhood. Everyone always found something to do, and sought to reach great heights in the direction that brought him pleasure.
