Norman was born in 1969 in Hollywood, Florida. He grew up in Los Angeles, but often visited other countries: Spain, Ireland and Japan. He was educated at Bethany College in West Virginia. Prior to his acting career, he worked with the Harley-Davidson store, as well as with the organizers of various art shows as a sculptor, video artist and photographer. The first film with Norman Reedus was filmed in 1997. It was Guillermo del Toro's fantastic horror film Mutants, where the actor played a character named Jeremy. Together with Willem Dafoe, the actor starred in the financially successful comedy action movie Troy Duffy “The Boondock Saints” (1999), where he played the hot-tempered and emotional Murphy McManus.
