Kefir cake: some delicious recipes

The useful properties of kefir and its positive effect on the functioning of the human body have long been proven. Everyone knows that regular use of kefir has a beneficial effect on the intestinal microflora, as well as on the nervous and cardiovascular systems. Of course, this is not a complete list of the very useful properties of this fermented milk product. But kefir is used not only in its pure form, it can be successfully used in baking. Kefir cake will be more airy, lighter and more delicious than the same cake, but on water. The dough kneaded on kefir rises better and, unlike the dough on water, does not fall after it, already in the form of a pie or cake for the cake, pulled out of the oven. Here are a few simple recipes from which you can choose any and cook a kefir cake on it.

The striped zebra pie is familiar to everyone. But it can be improved and turned into a cake. To bake the Zebra cake on kefir, you will need:

  • margarine - 100g;
  • egg - 3 pieces;
  • kefir - 1 cup;
  • flour - one and a half glasses;
  • sugar - 180g;
  • cocoa powder - 2 tables. spoons;
  • soda - 1/5 teaspoon;
  • salt with vanilla can be added to taste.

If you wish, you can add walnuts to the dough. A zebra cake is prepared on kefir as follows: margarine must be melted over low heat, putting it first in a metal bowl. When the margarine has completely melted, remove it from the stove, pour sugar into it and mix everything very carefully. Next, eggs, kefir with soda extinguished in it (two or three tablespoons of kefir should be left) and flour are placed. All this must be stirred until smooth. Those who want to add nuts to this kefir cake can pour them into the dough at this stage. Now, what we have done is divided into two parts, that is, we shift half of the dough into another container. In one part, mix the vanillin, and in the other - cocoa and the remaining few tablespoons of kefir, so that because of cocoa this part of the dough does not become thicker than the "white" half.

Next, grease the baking dish with butter and proceed to create the โ€œstripsโ€: alternately pour first a spoonful of chocolate dough into the center of the mold, then vanilla. And so on until the dough is finished in both containers. The resulting "zebra" set for 40-50 minutes in the oven, which must first be heated to 180 degrees. When the cake is ready, it remains only to turn it into a cake. To do this, take a sufficiently long knife and cut the cake horizontally to get a โ€œbaseโ€ and a โ€œlidโ€. The base can be coated with any cream, both custard and oily (butter + condensed milk) or sour cream. Cover with a โ€œlidโ€, which is also well lubricated with cream. You can decorate the resulting kefir cake on your own (sprinkle with nuts, candied fruit, chocolate chips, etc.).

And also a very simple and delicious kefir cake. To prepare it, take:

  • jam (best currant) - half a glass;
  • egg - 1 piece;
  • kefir - half a glass;
  • flour - 1 cup;
  • sugar - a quarter cup;
  • soda - 1 teaspoon.

All the ingredients are well mixed and baked in a baking dish or in a special pan. When the cake has cooled, cut it across to get two cakes, which we lubricate with sour cream.

For sour cream, you need to take one glass of quite thick sour cream and half a glass of sugar, which should be mixed well or whipped with a mixer. Decorate the finished kefir cake with fruits, nuts or grated chocolate.

And a very quick cake with the corresponding name "Naskoryak". You will need:

  • egg - 1 piece;
  • kefir - 1 cup;
  • margarine or butter (melted) - 2 tablespoons;
  • sugar - 1 cup;
  • soda - half a teaspoon.

Beat eggs with sugar and then add all other components, which also mix thoroughly or beat. This dough is baked on a greased baking sheet or baking dish, in the oven, over medium heat. Baking time - 20-30 minutes. To prevent the cake from falling, do not open the oven. This cake can be eaten in the form in which you took it out of the oven, or you can cut it into two layers as well as in previous recipes and spread with any cream or jam.
