Step by step drawing of a bow
This is a very easy lesson. In just 4 simple steps, even a novice amateur will master the technique of this elementary drawing.
So, how to draw a bow in stages?
Step 1 First you need to determine the place on paper where the bow will be located. Outline without pressure outlined with a simple pencil. Draw a slightly flattened oval in the center of the designated space. This is the future site. From the oval up, to the sides and down, symmetrically draw 6 smoothly curved lines, as shown in Figure 1.
Step 2 Now draw the main elements. To do this, on each side of the line that extend from the oval-knot up and to the sides, combine the pattern in the form of a heart. Moreover, the upper contour will be located slightly above the corresponding upper base line. For clarity, see Figure 2.
The two bottom lines are the basis for the image of the hanging ends of the tape. Draw the hanging ends of the tape so that the corresponding lower base lines are in their center. For convenience, refer to Figure 2.
The ends of the ribbons can be made any, to your liking. In our example, the artist depicted them in the form of 2 large teeth at each end of the ribbon.
Step 3 The basis of the lesson "How to draw a bow" learned. Let's give the picture a natural look. To do this, draw the recesses in the oval so that it looks like a knot of light fabric, in the form of an elongated drop, draw the lower parts of the left and right wings of the bow. To depict the folds of fabric, we draw on each wing 2 short horizontal bars that extend from the center of the node.

Last step
Step 4 Eraser carefully remove all the auxiliary lines that were drawn at the 1st stage. If you did everything right, your drawing will look like the final drawing 4.

- Thick white paper, preferably not smooth, but grainy.
- A couple of simple pencils of different hardness. Pencils are better to buy more expensive.
