The writer himself said that his father was a regular soldier. It was in Tver that Andrei went to school, having studied until the ninth grade. After that, the family moved again, but this time to Moscow. Father was transferred to a new duty station.

People in different countries are trying to survive, forming military and tactical groups.
In the novel, the virus was originally created as a medicine that was supposed to improve the immunity of the living. But the drug was so effective that it began to resurrect the dead.
Over time, zombies began to develop, mutating into strong and high-speed monsters that could hide well in shelters. In addition, it turned out that the virus is able to infect predators and omnivores. Only cats were not susceptible to it. When bitten, they experience severe pain, but do not become infected and do not turn into zombies.
Interestingly, Cruz's zombies are almost always silent, because the lungs in a dead body do not work, so they simply can not talk. Those who died a natural death also turn into monsters.
