The creators and actors of the movie “Fight Club” released a cult film, which caused a lot of controversy. Recall the characters and masters loved by the audience who embodied them on the screen.
The narrator
We begin the conversation about the movie “Fight Club”. The main actor, Edward Norton, plays the Narrator. This is a typical thirty-year-old yuppie who works for the automobile corporation. A man can be called a domestic conformist, he carefully furnishes his apartment, monitors fashion, constantly considers advertising catalogs and buys all new things.
Due to frequent business trips, the hero of Edward Norton begins to suffer from insomnia. The narrator comes to a meeting of cancer patients, and a collision with real grief allows him to get rid of his own problem. He finds more and more groups and becomes dependent on other people's suffering. But at meetings Marla appears - the same “energy vampire”, and this again brings the hero out of balance. Upon returning from another business trip, he meets Tyler Durden, a soap-maker with unusual views.

Edward Norton gained worldwide fame precisely because of his role in the Fight Club. The debut of the actor in the cinema took place in 1996. For his very first role as a sociopath in the film "Primal Fear," Edward received a Golden Globe and was nominated for an Oscar. In total, the actor starred in 32 films, and almost all of them received excellent ratings from critics and viewers. For his last work in Birdman, Edward won the Actors Guild Award and was nominated for an Oscar and Golden Globe.
Tyler Durden
One of the pearls in the career of Brad Pitt is his role in the movie “Fight Club”. The actors, whose photos are invariably associated with this film, are Brad himself and Edward Norton. But it was Pitt’s character, Tyler Durden, that was the brightest in the film, his image fell in love with the audience and became a cult.
Tyler Durden lives in an abandoned house and makes a living by cooking soap from human fat. Prior to that, he also worked as a projectionist and included shots with pornography on family films, as well as a waiter in an expensive restaurant, where the rich defecated. Unlike the Narrator, the ideal consumer and yuppie, Tyler is an anarchist and nihilist who criticizes the consumer society. It was he who came up with the idea of creating a fighting club, and later of the organization “rout”.
Brad Pitt began his acting career in 1987, but fame came to him only in the 90s with the films “Interviews with the Vampire”, “Legends of the Fall”, “Seven”, “12 Monkeys”. After working on one of his most famous characters, Tyler Durden, the actor participated in many popular projects. In total, he starred in 67 films, was nominated for an Oscar three times and received it in 2014, was four times nominated for a Golden Globe, which he received in 1996.
Marla Singer
We continue to discuss the "Fight Club". Actors and roles are of primary interest to us. Marla Singer is the only female character in the film. From the very beginning, she is at the epicenter of events, it is the meeting with her that is the impetus for the appearance of the second person of the Storyteller (he was initially introduced to her by Tyler). However, despite its central role, the woman herself does not understand what is happening. The image of Marla Singer was called by critics "a modern re-release of the fatal woman."
Helena Bonham Carter at the dawn of her career played a well-behaved lady, and the role of the eccentric Marla Singer gave a new round to her career. Helena is a two-time Oscar nominee and a seven-time Golden Globe nominee. She has played roles in such famous films as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Sweeney Todd, a demon barber from Fleet Street, and Alice in Wonderland.
"Angel Face"
Our theme is the same - “Fight Club”, actors. Jared Leto played the role of an unnamed member of the club, nicknamed "Angel Face." This bright blonde flashes in the first frames showing the meetings of the fighting club. In the future, he becomes one of the participants in the “rout” project.
Already at the end of the film, at one of the club’s meetings, the Storyteller severely beats the blond, which was against the rules. And to Tyler's perplexity he replies that he wanted to destroy something beautiful. Despite the beating, the disfigured man reappears in the rout “The rout”.
Jared Leto is an actor and vocalist of the famous rock band. He began his acting career in 1992, to date, he has 27 roles in the movie. Winner of the Oscars and Golden Globes for his role in the Dallas Buyers Club. Among his famous works are roles in the films American Psycho, Requiem for a Dream, and Mr. Nobody.
Robert (Bob) Paulson
What other actors did you remember? The Fight Club is not rich in characters, but even secondary roles left their mark in the minds of the audience. Bob is a former bodybuilder who has had testicular cancer. The narrator met him in one of the support groups. Bob later became one of the members of the Defeat organization and died in the mission. It was this death that shook and shocked the Narrator.
The role of Bob was played by Meath Lawf - a famous American rock singer and actor. It can also be seen in the films "Bloodrain", "Artifact", "Formula 51" and in one of the episodes of the series "House House".
Richard Kesler
The film was attended not only by famous actors. The Fight Club became the most famous work in the career of Zach Grenier. In the cult film, he played the role of the chief of the Narrator. In total, the actor has more than 80 roles in various projects.
Plot
The audience was well remembered for the roles and actors. Fight Club is a film with vivid characters that leave no one indifferent, and with an intriguing storyline.
The narration is on behalf of the Storyteller, a thirty-year-old yuppie suffering from insomnia. He begins to attend meetings for seriously ill people who help to cope with the problem. There he met with the "guest performer" Marla Singer.
On the plane, the Storyteller meets Tyler Durden, whom he moves to after an explosion in his apartment. Friends found a fight club, which later transformed into the organization “rout”. In the finale, the Storyteller realizes that he has a split personality, and the anarchist Tyler is his Alter Ego.
Critic reviews
This film was released in 1999 and failed at the box office. But in the future, neither the creators nor the actors spared it - Fight Club ten years after the release was called a cult. He was proclaimed the voice of a generation critical of consumerism. The Fight Club caused a lot of controversy. Some saw it as a protest against thoughtless existence, while others saw it as propaganda for violence and even fascism. To date, this film remains the most controversial (since the "Clockwork Orange") Hollywood film about the nature of violence.
