Unfortunately, the phrase "torn blood clot" we often see in the medical history. But this situation, most likely, could have been avoided.
In every organism, anticoagulant and coagulant blood systems act. If they are in equilibrium, the blood is liquid, without clots. With an increase in the influence of the coagulating component and a slowdown in blood flow, blood clots form.
Injuries, surgical interventions, tumor and inflammatory diseases that lead to damage to the inner surface of blood vessels can also contribute to this.
A blood clot does not form immediately, but builds up gradually, starting with a small plaque on which further layering occurs. If its attachment to the vessel wall is weak, then it comes off and goes into free navigation through the vessels.
A broken blood clot can block the movement of blood. This phenomenon is called thromboembolism. If the blood flow is blocked in the brain, this leads to ischemic stroke, if in the arteries of the heart - myocardial infarction, if in large veins of the lower extremities - thrombosis.
The worst thing happens if a detached blood clot enters the pulmonary artery. In this case, a person feels acute, almost dagger pain in the chest area, begins to suffocate and, unfortunately, dies: as a rule, they do not have time to deliver him to the hospital. Every fifth case of sudden death is connected with this.
The question arises as to why a
blood clot comes off. To answer it definitely will not work. This can provoke stress, trauma, abnormal processes taking place in the body.
A blood clot can occur in the body of people who are genetically predisposed to form blood clots (there were thrombosis in the family), in obese people (malnutrition always leads to hypertension, diabetes mellitus, the formation of atherosclerotic plaques, and subsequently blood clots), smokers (blood viscosity is increased , and the vessels are narrowed), drug addicts, alcoholics, people, inactive and exhausted with various diseases.
To reduce the risk of falling into a group with circulatory system disorders, it is necessary to periodically be examined and lead a healthy, mobile lifestyle, eat right and drink at least 2 liters of clean water. Timely revealed violation is always easier to cure than to control the situation when the blood clot has come off. The consequences can be disastrous. It is good if a person remains alive and can fully recover.
The following are symptoms that cannot be ignored; you must immediately take the person to the hospital, where they will be helped.
With thrombosis:
- veins felt heaviness and pain in the legs, swelling, blue skin;
- arteries of the abdomen observed vomiting, diarrhea, sharp pains in this area;
- pulmonary artery - chest pain, lack of oxygen, shortness of breath, heart rhythm disturbance.
The presence or even a detached blood clot can be diagnosed using various methods: phlebography, ultrasound, angiography, blood tests for coagulability and cholesterol, biochemical analysis.
It is impossible to engage in self-medication, since time may be lost during which correctly prescribed therapy could correct the situation.
