Equator tablets are a combined antihypertensive drug, the use of which helps to reduce blood pressure, total vascular resistance and preload. The basis of this drug is a decrease in the concentration of aldosterone and angiotensin II in plasma, as well as an increase in the rate of vasodilator bradykinin. In addition, this combination agent prevents the entry of calcium ions into the smooth muscle cells of blood vessels and the myocardium due to inhibition of the so-called calcium channels. Reducing the afterload on the heart and the expansion of arterioles and arteries of the peripheral type similarly provides the drug "Equator".
