Salad dressings at home

In order for your favorite salads to give you pleasure, be useful both for the soul and for the body, and very tasty, season them with home-made dressings. Salad dressings are the most diverse in preparation - it all depends on your imagination.

As you know, such gas stations diversify the taste of the dish itself, its appearance. They are also able to increase the nutritional value of dishes, enrich them with minerals, vitamins.

But it is worth noting that any salad dressing is suitable only for purely specific dishes.

Ready-made dressings must be stored in carefully sealed containers, and they should be shaken well before flavoring the salad. Their main ingredients are vegetable oil, salt, vinegar, and spices are usually added to enhance the taste, but you need to do this very carefully, dosing them in small portions, so that they only enhance the taste of the salad. The main thing is not to overdo it. And yet, since we are accustomed to the beloved and popular mayonnaise that is sold in stores, do not forget that the best substitute for it is salad dressing, the recipes of which are given below.

Salad dressing "Yogurt"

Prepare 150 grams of natural yogurt, three tablespoons of olive oil, one and a half tablespoons of balsamic vinegar , one or two cloves of garlic, one or two teaspoons of mustard, one teaspoon of honey, spices to your taste.

Stir vinegar with honey, oil, herbs, pepper, add chopped garlic (minced), mustard and yogurt. Mix thoroughly or whisk with a blender. Salt to taste.

Dressing salad "Lime spicy"

To prepare such a dressing you will need one lime, 40 grams of ginger, two or three teaspoons of honey, six tablespoons of olive oil, 30 ml of plain water.

Remove the zest from the lime, squeeze the juice and remove the pulp. Then grate ginger finely and add olive oil. Then dissolve honey in water. Now combine all the ingredients, put on a small fire and warm, stirring occasionally.

Avocado salad dressing

Take one avocado, one half of lemon, two tablespoons of olive oil, one teaspoon of Dijon mustard, pepper and salt to your liking.

Cut the avocado into two parts, remove the pulp with a spoon. Put in a blender, add lemon juice, oil, pepper, salt and beat well.

Nut dressing for meat salads

It will take one third of a glass of walnuts, five to seven branches of fresh parsley, five to seven branches of cilantro, two cloves of garlic, one teaspoon of apple cider vinegar, one teaspoon of sunflower hops, two tablespoons of table mayonnaise or natural yogurt, salt.

Crush and chop the nuts, put them in a blender along with fresh herbs, mayonnaise and seasoning, then beat as well as possible, slightly salt. This dressing is suitable for a salad with boiled beets. Walnut salad dressings will be a great addition to any salad where the main ingredient is meat.

Cottage cheese dressing for salads from boiled vegetables and meat salads

You need to take 100 grams of fat cottage cheese, one tablespoon of cream, fresh parsley and dill, one teaspoon of lemon juice.

Grind greens in a blender. Fold it in a mortar, add salt and squeeze until a paste forms. Beat the cottage cheese in such a mass, adding lemon juice and cream, combine with herbs and beat well again. If the dressing is too thick, dilute it with cream.

Horseradish mayonnaise
It takes 70-100 grams of horseradish root, one glass of homemade mayonnaise.

Grate horseradish, scald it with boiling water and cool. Add grated horseradish to mayonnaise and mix thoroughly. Salad dressings using mayonnaise perfectly complement cold dishes of fish, boiled meat, jelly.

Mustard dressing
For such dressing, take one glass of vegetable oil, two egg yolks, one tablespoon of mustard, one second part of a glass of vinegar, salt, sugar, ground black pepper.

Pound mustard, raw yolks, sugar and salt until smooth. Pour in a thin stream here, stirring the mass, vegetable oil (pour the next portion of oil after the previous one emulsifies). Dilute this mixture with vinegar, add pepper and mix well.
