The artist Milo Moire, in her own way, sees the beauty and importance of the representatives of the beautiful half of human society. She believes that the sources of refinement, affection and tenderness, which are able to unite everyone in the world, are hidden in them. The young lady became famous thanks to unusual performances in which she tried to share her views with the public.
Personal life
Milo Moire was born in 1983 in Switzerland. While still small, a girl with Hispanic-Slovak roots confidently conquered the hearts of all the boys and knew her worth. Her childhood and school years were indicated for her with a love of sports. The young lady played tennis well.
The first step into adulthood was college education in Lucerne. During her studies and after graduation (2001), Milo Moire collaborated with modeling agencies and became the winner in the Miss Bodense contest. Later, the lady studied in depth psychology at the University of Bern and defended her master's work in 2011.
The girl looks at familiar things differently and explains their meaning in her own way. So, a naked body for Milo Muar is a blank canvas on which to create. Clothing is a way of expressing oneself and conveying mood.
Relations for the artist - a kind of art that does not tolerate any framework. Therefore, Milo with her partner Peter Palm (photographer) do not talk about marriage and other “traditional” moments.
Inspirers
Since childhood, Milo Moire strove to be a world famous artist and change the perception of mankind. I was interested in the works of Francis Bacon, Frida Kahlo, Kete Kolwitz. Images of the works of Maria Lassnig and Edward Munch always appeared in my head . Two people influenced her choice of future profession: Marina Abramovich and Joseph Boyce.
Marina Abramovich is a Yugoslav artist, better known as the "grandmother of performance art." I observed and analyzed the characteristics of a person’s personality by involving the audience in the process of creating a performance.
Joseph Boyce - German artist, chief theoretician of the postmodern trend. He is the founder of the term "fluxus" - a specific kind of performance in which the master interacts with the audience using unusual and sometimes shocking art objects.
Art activity
Performance Milo Moire is evaluated differently. Someone sees in her work an unconvincing statement of their desires and despair. Others notice the subtlety of the inner world and the purity of the bare body.
The world first heard of her in 2013 due to the performance of The Script. This statement caused controversy in the media about whether it is permissible to use a naked female body in art.
While everyone was arguing, Milo Muar was building a creative career. So, in 2014, the performance "Painting by Falling Eggs" was held. The girl filled the eggs with paint, placed it inside the genitals and then dropped them onto clean canvases.
In the winter of 2015, the artist was noted at the Munster Museum. Moire walked completely naked in a cultural institution, and in her arms held a child.
More than once the young lady spent nights in prison, since police officers did not always positively perceive her creative activities. But even risk does not stop Milo Moire from achieving his goals.
