How to draw a human skeleton? It is not as difficult as it seems at first glance. Using this algorithm, even a novice artist will cope with this task. To achieve a successful result, we recommend that you follow the recommendations of an experienced master step by step.
Create the frame of the future skeleton
Step 1. Now we will learn in more detail how to draw a skeleton with a pencil. First, draw the base frame. To do this, you need to start with a circle for the skull. Divide the circle with two lines intersecting at right angles into 4 segments, draw another one below the horizontal line. Under the circle draw a contour of the bottom of the skull. Draw the eye sockets, the opening of the nose and teeth as shown in fig. 1.
Extend the vertical line of the skull below - this is the base of the skeleton (spine). Add a shoulder line, parallel to this line below draw 2 shorter lines to indicate the basics of the pelvis. From the humeral and pelvic lines down, draw in straight lines the basis for the bones of the arms and legs, respectively.
Mark the middle of the spine with a sinusoid fragment. In the middle of the straight lines representing the bones of the arms and legs, outline the elbow joints and knees in circles. At the ends of these straight ovals mark future hands and feet. When building a frame, refer to Figure 1, which will tell you how to draw a skeleton correctly.
We draw the upper part of the skeleton of the body
Step 2. First, fill the distance between the skull and the humeral line with two short flat ovals to create the appearance of the cervical vertebrae.
Let's draw the clavicles, for which we will outline the horizontal lines along the entire length to the right and left of the neck with elongated ovals. Let's draw the humerus (upper) bone and forearm (lower) the same in length. Moreover, for credibility, it is imperative to single out the shoulder and elbow joints.
Figure 2 clearly shows how to draw the skeleton directly of the chest. The main thing is to try to draw the edges correctly . Ribs are bones that are paired with the thoracic vertebrae. In total, a person has 12 pairs of ribs, but in the figure, as a rule, they draw less (in our figure 7 pairs of ribs are shown).
If everything worked out, half the job is done. Go to the next step.
How to draw a skeleton of the lower torso
Step 3. Under the sternum bone we sketch 4 vertebrae. Under them, with a vertically elongated cone, we denote the sacrum.
Drawing the pelvic bones will be a little harder. If you look closely at the drawing, they look like butterfly wings in outline . The line starts from the sacral bone, rises to the costal bones in a smooth semicircle and also descends smoothly at an angle to the bottom of the sacral bone. The result is what is called the pelvic area in anatomy.
Now draw the femur (upper) and tibia (lower) bones of both legs. In this case, note that the upper bone is drawn several millimeters longer than the lower one to maintain the proportionality of the skeleton.
The femur and tibia in the patella area are connected together. In the first drawing, this place was indicated by a circle.
Final stage
Step 4. To give the drawing a natural look, it is necessary to remove all axial (auxiliary) lines with an eraser. At the end, it is advisable to add details to make the skeleton as similar as possible to the real one. For example, it is obligatory to draw cheekbones in the skull, to describe the radial and ulnar bones of the hands, tibia and fibula of the legs, connecting joints, to carefully draw the phalanges of the fingers of the hands and feet.
After the final stage, your drawing should resemble this one. If everything worked out, now you know how to draw a skeleton.
