Plot
Valeria Krylova is the chief editor of a popular magazine. She becomes a candidate for the award of the year awarded to the best journalist in the country. There are enough competitors, but Akhmet Bashirov was considered the main one. The award ultimately goes to Victoria, and Bashirov is not even in second place, but somewhere further. What more could you ask for? When your work is appreciated, there is an additional motivation to work better, set yourself the following goals, and achieve new heights.
But the rainbow plans have not yet come true. Less than a day after the award, the city is shocked by the news of the assassination of a major banker Sadovnikov. In this case, just Valery and Akhmet are the suspects. They need to provide evidence that they are not involved in the murder of the entrepreneur.
Investigators find out that the customer was Melissa Sinitskaya, allegedly a friend of Krylova. Sinitskaya also worked in the field of writing, but she failed to achieve serious success. She envied Valeria, who had always been in the lead. And then the opportunity presented itself to substitute her, and she could not resist the temptation. At the same time, the competitor could be eliminated.
A certain Vasily helped Melissa realize her intentions. Exposed by the police, they are now forced to hide from persecution. Bashirov’s bodyguard is trying to prove that his boss is innocent. Criminals kidnap Valeria, and Bashirov goes to rescue her. A detective story is twisted into a solid knot, to unravel which will be a daunting task.
