Kurnik is a closed pie in the form of a dome. You can cook it, both from butter and puff pastry. And the kurnik from the shortcrust pastry is simply excellent. The filling is usually done in several layers: boiled rice with eggs, seasoned with butter, slices of boiled chicken with milk sauce, fried mushrooms, chicken again and then rice. Each layer is covered with a pancake. A cake is baked in the oven at a temperature of 240 degrees. Readiness is checked with a knife or spatula, just lift the corner of the pie, and if it does not bend, then the chicken pot is ready. Together with it, sauce is served on the table, for this, we grind the flour with butter, add the broth and cream. Keep the sauce steamed until it looks like sour cream in consistency. Then grind the yolks with butter and add to the sauce.

Shortcrust Kurnik
Products for the test: a packet of margarine, a glass of sour cream, two egg yolks, two glasses of flour, a baking powder, a little sugar, salt.

For the filling of rice: a glass of rice, five eggs, half a glass of broth, 30 grams of butter, salt.

Shred the onion, fry it in oil, combine with chicken, pepper and salt to taste and pour the broth. The filling should not turn out too liquid.
Now let's start cooking rice filling. We cut the boiled eggs into cubes, add the chicken broth, a piece of butter, salt and mix.
Now let's do the test. Add baking powder to the sifted flour and mix. We take the eggs, separate the yolks, remove the proteins to the side - we do not need them. Add sugar to the yolks, a little salt, slightly beat and put the softened margarine. Add sour cream here and mix well again. Enter the flour and knead the dough. We leave it in the refrigerator for half an hour. We divide the chilled dough into two parts, one should be smaller than the other. We roll out the larger part and put it in the baking dish. We make the sides and spread half the rice filling, put chicken on top of the rice, then rice and chicken again. Roll out the cake from the rest, cover it with a pie and carefully pinch along the edges. In the center of the pie we make a hole for the steam and grease the surface with an egg.
We bake a kurnik from shortcrust pastry for about an hour, at 180 degrees.

Ingredients for pancakes: half a liter of milk, a half cup of flour, three eggs, vegetable oil.
For the filling: 200 grams of mushrooms, one medium onion, one hundred grams of boiled rice, chicken, a slice of cheese, three eggs, pepper and salt,
Cooking:
Cooking the toppings. Boil rice.

Cut boiled eggs into circles.
Now mix the dough products and bake about ten pancakes. Lubricate the round shape and lay out the first pancake, put another eight pancakes in the form of petals, you should get a flower. Petals should hang.
We spread the fried mushrooms and cover with two pancakes that are opposite each other. Next, put the rice, also cover with two pancakes, then chicken, again two pancakes, eggs and the last tenth pancake. Sprinkle with grated cheese and put in the oven for 20 minutes. Carefully remove the finished chicken from the mold and serve.
Puff pastry with rice
Ingredients for pancakes: an egg, two glasses of milk, sugar, five tablespoons of flour, vegetable oil, salt.
For the filling: 800 grams of chicken, 400 grams of mushrooms, onion, a glass of rice, two eggs, herbs, pepper, salt.
For a kurnik - a kilogram of puff pastry.
Cooking:
Knead the dough on pancakes made of flour, milk, salt, sugar and eggs. We fry them in vegetable oil. Boil the chicken fillet and finely chop. We cut the boiled eggs into cubes. Grind greens. We spread rice, eggs, greens in a cup and mix well. Fry chopped onion and mushrooms in oil.
Divide the puff pastry into two different parts and roll both. We lay out a smaller cake in the form, on top of it a portion of the filling from rice and close it with a pancake. Put a little chicken meat on the pancake and cover it with pancake again. Then mushrooms and again damn it. And so we continue until the filling and pancakes are over.
After, cover with another cake, pinch the edges and make a hole for the steam.
We put in the oven for an hour and a half. Cool the finished chicken house and put it on the dish.
