What causes the night sweat to break through?

Once you wake up in a cold sweat and for a long time you will not be able to fall asleep again due to the nasty feeling of a wet sheet. Then it will happen again - maybe the next night, maybe in two ... And then again and again, and then you will definitely take care: because of what the night sweat breaks me and how to get rid of it?

There can be many reasons. Among them there are also so obvious that it may seem strange, as you yourself did not guess. You may be comfortable sleeping in the warmth, but your body may find it too stuffy in the room. In this case, increased sweating is the simplest signal that the room should be ventilated before going to bed. The habit of wallowing in a hot bath at night can also turn into sweating - the body has its own “climate control”, it regulates the temperature and lowers it independently. In general, having noticed that too often you have a night sweat, first of all, look for obvious reasons. Open a window before going to bed, do not wrap yourself in an overly warm blanket, take a cool shower instead of a hot bath, and do not exercise in the evening. You look - and normal "dry" sleep will be restored.

But if everything was so simple, one would not have paid attention to this topic at all. However, night sweats can be a symptom of the disease. It can often accompany normal colds, in which the body struggles with fever (and, by the way, be a reaction to antipyretic drugs). But sometimes cold sweat at night is a harbinger of much more serious problems - hepatitis, thyroid disease, leukemia, hormonal disruptions (in women, this symptom is often associated with menopause or menopause), intestinal disorders, and pre-stroke conditions. Also, hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) is a "classic" satellite of malaria and tuberculosis. And this is not a complete list of possible diseases - listing them all does not make much sense, since it is difficult and even dangerous to diagnose them yourself. Therefore, it will be better and more reliable to consult a doctor - he should take the report of causeless regular night sweats with seriousness.

What mom is not afraid of cold sweat in a child ?! However, this is far from always a cause for concern. In children, sweating can persist for a long time after the illness, when you already forget about them. For example, after childhood infections, night sweats can occur for several months. If the child was not ill with anything, pay attention to whether he is overheating. After all, children are in constant motion, and therefore their body is always hotter than an adult. Dress your child according to the weather, make sure that by the evening he is not overexcited, does not see any "fears" on TV. But if sweating does not go away, you need, of course, to tell the pediatrician about this.

Yes, still, we just mentioned casually about medicines, but not only antipyretic drugs, such as aspirin, ibuprofen, acetaminophen and others can give the effect of cold sweat. Increased sweating is a very common reaction to a large group of drugs. It can be antidepressants, and hypertensive drugs, and insulin, and cortisone, and drugs for the treatment of erectile dysfunction and others. In order not to worry in vain, carefully read the leaflet instructions for the drug you are taking - as a rule, such a reaction is indicated there.

It is also worth noting that increased sweating can haunt a person both at night and during the day, just in the daytime they do not pay attention to it, but night sweats cause inconvenience to both the person and his partner, therefore it is more worrying.
