They all live in exile in Paris and are preparing the theft of the Great Imperial Crown from a museum in the Soviet Union. According to legend, invented by the conspirators, the crown is needed for the ceremony of the enthronement of the new Russian emperor. Two colorful candidates “Lokhmatogo” (Vladimir Belokurov) and “Bald” (Rolan Bykov), crooks who impersonate members of the royal family, were picked up for the throne.
Action development
A grand scam was conceived by the international adventurer Monsieur Duc (Andrei Fait), who, together with Russian emigrants, wants to steal the crown and sell it to America. For cover, the former White Guard officer Ovechkin hires the famous swindler Prince Naryshkin (Vladislav Strzhelchik), who specializes in stealing jewelry. Actors of the Crown of the Russian Empire, who played negative characters, also became popular in the country. While the Chekists are watching Naryshkin and Burnash, he manages to steal an artifact. After waiting in the Odessa catacombs, he waited for the steamer with accomplices and sailed to France.
Colonel Kudasov, the former chief of counterintelligence, who decides on the plans of the Frenchman, decides to crank out the entire operation alone. Using two not-so-distant "heirs", he wants to take the crown and sell it, taking all the profits for himself. The colonel is opposed by Duke with Ovechkin and Perov.
An “elusive" four arrives in Paris, who must find the crown and return to the Soviet Union. They penetrate the coronation and destroy the ingenious combinations of competing parties. They take the crown and return to the Soviet museum.
