Lidase: injections, inhalations, other procedures

What is lidase? This is an enzyme agent, the active substance of which is hyaluronidase. The international name of the drug also sounds. On the market, the product is presented in the form of a lyophysilate for creating a solution of internal and external use, a dry powder for the preparation of inhalations.

Lidase is an enzymatic compound that is obtained from the testes of cattle. It is able to break down hyaluronic acid, reducing its viscosity, allowing it to penetrate into the tissues as deep as possible. Increasing the permeability of large and small vessels, hyaluronidase accelerates the movement of fluid in the tissues, which leads to a decrease or complete disappearance of edema.

The drug "Lidase" prevents the formation of contractures (mobility restrictions) or helps get rid of the already formed. It increases the flexibility of the joints, softens, removes scars. That is why, for the treatment of a very wide range of diseases associated with joints and tissues, doctors are increasingly using the proven drug Lidaza.

Injections are recommended in a variety of cases:

· To get rid of scars (burns, postoperative, traumatic).

· Treatment of long non-healing ulcers or wounds, including radiation and chemical origin.

Stiffness or immobility of the joints.

Ankylosing spondylitis.

Osteoarthrosis.

· Cutaneous scleroderma.

· In preparation for plastic surgery.

· Hydrocephalus.

· Pulmonary tuberculosis.

How is lidase used? Injections are usually given every other day (rarely daily) in the place of the formed scar, contracture or near them. If the nerve is affected, then the medication is injected directly into it. According to average indications, the course of treatment is 10-20 procedures, however, it is impossible to predict the number of injections in absentia.

Does Lidase help? Injections, it is proved, already after the first course they alleviate the condition, allow scars to resolve, improve joint mobility.

However, this is not the only way to use the drug "Lidase". The injections are useless if the eyes or lungs are affected. Therefore, for their healing, a composition prepared by their dry powder is used.

For the treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis inhalation is done (5 ml of solution, 20-25 procedures). In especially severe cases, inhalation is combined with injections. However, only a doctor can decide on the advisability of such a combination.

Where else did Lidaz find application?

In ophthalmology, a 0.1% solution is instilled into the eyes. At the same time, it is necessary to take antibacterial drugs: antibiotics or sulfonamides.

How else do you use the drug "Lidase" in ophthalmology? Injections for retinopathies are placed directly under the temporal skin. If the patient has noticed hemorrhage in the vitreous body, then injections are done under the conjunctiva and / or retrobulbar (inside the eye).

In other cases, a solution of the drug can be used to soak dressings.

It should be noted that the course of treatment with Lidase should not exceed 60 days. If the expected improvement did not come to the end, then take a break for half a month, and then resume the administration of the drug.

It must be remembered that with an overdose of the drug, local hemorrhages can occur, nausea may appear. It is also possible loss of consciousness, vomiting, a sharp decrease in pressure, tachycardia. Such manifestations are rare. More often recorded side effects in the form of urticaria, burning at the injection site, redness of the skin.

When prescribing a course of treatment, the doctor should familiarize himself with the patient's history. This is necessary because Lidase is contraindicated in tuberculosis patients with hemoptysis, hemorrhages, and infectious diseases that cause acute inflammation.
