"Mitya Tales": the idea of creating a series
In 2011, Alexei Kiryushchenko and Vladimir Zelensky decided to shoot the spin-offs of the series “Matchmakers”. The central hero of the new TV show was chosen one of the most prominent representatives of the "Matchmakers" - the neighbor Mityaya.
In the series about two completely different elderly couples who, by the will of fate, were forced to become relatives, Mityai became that secondary character who brought diversity and some zest to the life of the matchmakers. Naturally, according to the reviews of the audience, it became clear that the ratings of “Matchmakers” would not have been so high without Mitya.
The director looked through the material, worked with the scriptwriters, and small comedic stories turned out that could make the audience laugh. Domestic actors were invited to the test. "Mitya Tales" - a series that brought together a good ensemble of professionals. Naturally, the main role - a drunken alcoholic with a good heart and a sharp mind - was played by actor Nikolai Dobrynin. The candidacy of the protagonist was not even discussed, because, in fact, the plot for the new series was written purely for this image.
Plot
An incorrigible romantic and visionary Mityai lives in the town of Kuchugury. He, like many residents of his small homeland, loves to drink, have a snack, chat with friends, and most importantly - to tell the bike. Mitya has the gift of falling into various unthinkable, sometimes sensitive situations. To get dry out of the water, the main character came up with his tactics - to captivate the interlocutor, to tell an incredible story from his life. Of course, many of his friends and listeners believe that he is an absolute liar, but he tells so plausibly that he wants to believe him. So, Mityai said that he was the first to fly to the moon, was Brezhnev's personal driver, served in the secret forces, tested secret weapons, was engaged to the daughter of the Mexican mafiosi and nearly lost his life.
The series "Mitya Tales" was broadcast on "Inter", had good views ratings. The fact that the film had only 19 episodes helped - the optimal amount of material so as not to bother the viewer. In addition, the actors themselves did not play a huge role. “Mitya Tales” received different reviews from the audience: someone called the series stupid, someone funny, the game of the main characters received a warm response from the audience.
Main roles
The plot focuses on the hopeless romantic Mityai Bukhankin, or rather, he is a man who, having lived his life, understands that he could have lived it differently. He sincerely lives in situations in which, according to him, he got. At heart, he regrets that he was never able to leave his native town and reincarnate as someone else. That is why he tells all his stories in order to somehow diversify his boring life. In the main role, Nikolai Dobrynin revealed his comedic and dramatic talent.
The viewer knows Nikolai from many domestic TV shows. He was a gangster, and a killer, and a romantic, but, oddly enough, the role of Mitya became one of the most successful in his career. Today in the filmography of the actor 112 roles played in the movie, and work in the theater. Nikolai is in demand and loved by the viewer.
A huge contribution to the series was made by Nikolai Dobrynin, but secondary actors also played an important role. Mitya's Tales is a series in which each episode is a different story, which is why a fairly large number of actors were involved in the shootings.

Recognized comedians Evgeny Koshevoi, Yuri Krapov, Yegor Krutogolov, Maxim Nelipa played various characters invented by Mitya. Victor Andrienko reincarnated as chairman of the Kuchegury collective farm. Alexander Ignatush embodied the character of a local policeman Alekseevich. Female characters were embodied on the screen by Diana Malaya (she played the wife of Mityai and all his fictional lovers), Elena Skripka (mother of Mitya), Olga Radchuk (head nurse).
The series turned out to be funny, ironic and funny due to the unique plot and heroes, who were skillfully embodied on the screens by Russian and Ukrainian actors. "Mitya Tales" is a film that was especially liked by people of the older generation and those who first-hand experience of rural life.
