Lingonberries in their own juice is a great way to prepare healthy forest berries for the winter. Everything else, you can make it without sugar - if you do not like sweets or just want to use the berry for cooking fruit drinks and jelly. Of course, it will be delicious with sugar. The preparation is incredibly simple: wash and sort the berries, put them in jars to the top and pour boiling water. Cool a little, close the lids and sterilize: for large three-liter jars, it takes 20 minutes, for smaller containers - 10-15 minutes.

For cooking you will need:

  • 1 kilogram of lingonberry (accordingly, if you have more berries, increase the proportion);
  • 200 g of granulated sugar.

Rinse the berry, put in a saucepan and send to the oven to languish - lingonberries should give juice, drain it. After boil the liquid with sugar for 10 minutes. Lay the berries in jars, pour the resulting juice, cover with lids and sterilize. So lingonberries will be perfectly stored until spring.

For 1 kilogram of fresh, washed and sorted berries you will need:

  • a pound of fresh apples;
  • 300 g of granulated sugar;
  • 400-500 g (2 cups) of pure drinking water.

Put the berries in a saucepan, pour the indicated amount of water and put on the stove. Bring to a boil and boil for 3-5 minutes. After through a colander, pour the lingonberry water into another pan, and leave the berries in a sieve. Now wash the fragrant, juicy apples, peel the seeds and peel, cut into slices or cubes. Bring the drained cowberry broth to a boil, place the fruit there, pour the sugar and cook for 5-10 minutes. There, after the specified time, lay the lingonberries and cook for another 5 minutes. Done - turn off the gas, cool a little and put the resulting compote into banks.

Lingonberry with sugar: make stock without cooking

Another way to preserve a berry until a long winter is to make a supply of it. And for it you can use not only lingonberries, but also add citrus fruits to it - lemon or orange, other berries, for example cranberries, or spices for aroma. And the procurement itself is done as follows. Take:

  • 1 kilogram of lingonberry;
  • 1 kilogram of granulated sugar.

Mix the berry with sugar. Someone lets her stand for a couple of hours, and someone starts cooking immediately. After the lingonberry mass, grind with a submersible blender or using a meat grinder, put in sterilized jars and send for storage. You can also add a couple of sweet oranges for taste, previously peeled from seeds and crushed in a blender, or half a lemon. It will be very tasty if you put a little cinnamon, ground cloves or any other aromatic spice in stock. To keep your health strong in the winter season, stir a tablespoon of the workpiece in a glass of warm water and drink. So you provide the body with a daily dose of vitamin C, as well as a host of other beneficial substances that will support your immunity and will not let you catch a cold.
