"White captive." Actors: people and dogs

The dramatic film “White Captive” (actors: P. Walker, B. Greenwood, M. Bloodgood, V. Kruson, D. Planet) is designed for a wide audience, there is no strictly established age limit for viewing it. However, including cinema in the category of films intended for family viewing, it is worth remembering that the plot narrative of the picture is not so successful and joyful as it might seem.

Main storyline

According to the synopsis of filmmakers, the plot of the film is based on real events. That is, the survival of dogs in complete isolation is the main line of the movie "White Captivity" (dog actors were not injured during the filming). According to the story, three scientists - Jerry Sheppard (Paul Walker), his friend Cooper (Jason Biggs) and geologist (Bruce Greenwood) - were forced to urgently leave the research base in Antarctica due to the force majeure circumstances. Who will win?

Not only human actors, but also their four-legged colleagues, dogs, took part in the filming of The White Captive, the actors and roles of which were excellently matched to each other. Moreover, it was extremely difficult to compete with animals. The fact is that dogs showed themselves to be excellent actors, it was impossible to replay them. Not because in the movie "White Captive" the actors are mediocre, not endowed with abilities and talent. It’s just that the dogs didn’t have to pretend, they were sincere, and this cannot but bribe the viewer. Film projects involving animals always return the beholder to the original sources, prompting to recall such feelings as love, devotion, sympathy, mutual assistance. The work of director Frank Marshall was no exception.
