He is a charming, attractive and very inconsistent conqueror of female hearts, fortunately, that in the resort place he does not lack them.
But one day, Henry meets Lucy, and his whole world is turned upside down. The sympathy that arose between them from the first minutes is mutual, and everything seems to be fine, but the girl has a serious problem - memory loss after a serious car accident. She remembers everything that was before the accident, but every day after she forgets the next morning. Actually, thanks to this fact, the film got its name - “50 First Kisses” (2004).
The main character (pictured), accustomed to getting a woman’s heart instantly and also quickly losing interest in her later on, this time fell into the trap of love. "Unusual" Lucy bewitched him and does not allow to get bored. Every day he is forced to get to know her again and make her remember him. Therefore, the couple is waiting in front of at least 50 first kisses. The actors coped with their task superbly, and the viewer does not even have doubts about the sincerity of the main character's feelings again and again experienced. Yet it’s not easy to discover for yourself every morning a new world where few people know you.
Interesting facts about the film
The history of the name of the picture went through three stages. Initially, the filmmakers approved the working name 50 First Kisses, in fact, it was him who was used in literal translation for rental in our country. Then the first replacement followed, the producers and the director decided that the first would be not kisses, but dates, and the picture was called Fifty First Dates. At the end, the film crew came to the conclusion that it would be more harmonious and shorter if we change Fifty to the number “50”. As a result, the movie came out on the big screens under the name 50 First Dates.
And another interesting fact regarding the leading woman. Initially, the project was special, it was developed for another Hollywood movie star - Cameron Diaz. Then, the charming and unique Julia Roberts was determined to play the role of Lucy. But in the end they approved the no less famous Drew Barrymore, the heiress of a large acting dynasty, whose talent no one even doubts.
