Domestic comedies are released at great intervals. And if they already appear on wide screens, then fans and lovers of Russian cinema are equally interested in waiting for this day. A well-known belief that goes on in audience circles says that our films can’t be shot. “Mixed feelings” is another Russian comedy that promises to amuse the most tedious and skeptical audience. It remains to verify whether this is so.
Originality of the plot to help
Perhaps avid movie fans will find many similar and more than once shown, but for domestic cinema this idea is infrequent. About this after tell the audience reviews. “Mixed feelings" push two different, opposite people. Star of the 90s Phil, who achieved success thanks to a single song, lives a full life. While playing music, he devotes a lot of time to free relationships, captivating many girls with his beauty and self-confidence.

In contrast, a career-obsessed Peter erases a boring existence and is afraid of communicating with girls. As a result of the accident that brought Peter and Phil to the hospital, the effects of electric shock are extremely mysterious - young people feel each other's feelings. Needless to say, this mostly leads to comic situations, from which, as a rule, Peter has to get out. While he is busy with something else, Phil spends time in love joys. While Phil stalls alcohol in piles, Peter is forced to explain to the traffic cops why his legs are barely held, but he is sober. In a word, the heroes play on mutual nerves, considering this a fun incident. But only at first.
Ambiguity of Perception
To return life to its usual course, you must first find an antidote to what happened. And this probably will not happen. And then, the creators did not in vain make Phil and Peter so different: one will obviously begin to pull the blanket to his side, abusing the situation.
However, even a new (according to the scriptwriters) idea quickly gets bored, which is confirmed by the audience’s reviews. “Mixed feelings” are clearly tuned to the Hollywood type, because the legitimate “somewhere it was already” seems to hit the very bull's eye. In addition, for the most part, the picture is not dedicated to the main characters, but to the main actors.
Where did you spend your budget?
The figure of 2 million dollars is a serious prerequisite, not only to justify them, but at least a little play. Will the film “Mixed Feelings” succeed? Comedy, as a key genre of storytelling, has every chance to collect the maximum number of viewers and, therefore, make a good box office. Despite the numerous extras and cool gypsies, it should be assumed that the rest of the funds went to the only thing that was expensive in the frame - the car - and the fees of Alexander Revve and Pavel Derevyanko. Both Russian stars became familiar for a long time, and, probably, the creators felt that if you bet, then not on little-known artists. Eh, walk so walk!
Why did they call Gazmanov?
The invited star is quite understandable. “Mixed feelings” were no exception. The film deliberately included the story of his character, that is, the singer himself, in the plot. Oleg Gazmanov, a symbol of pop music, a cheerful optimist and an eternal athlete, caused a lot of controversy with his cameo appearance. The participation of the artist is so minimal that it causes only pity. True, the final chord was a little fun - the singer saves an honest company, telling the audience that he is still on horseback! An episodic role, not conditioned by anything, like an attempt at self-PR. Well, the laws of show business are not discussed.
Mixed reviews, real feelings
Nevertheless, for many viewers the picture left a positive impression. In an hour and a half, a whole story of several diverse episodes was laid out. It’s practically impossible to get tired and bored. The action that unfolds on the screen completely captures consciousness from the first frames.
There are no comrades for the taste and color, because the picture is waiting for the most mixed reviews. "Mixed feelings" include a special sense of humor - for some, it may seem cheap, stretch, and, as they say, “below the waist”. Well, let it be so, but the whole audience laughed heartily!
Perhaps this is the Russian perception that we deny what we laugh at? An unrivaled comedian, Alexander Revva embodied on the screen the subtleties of comic skill. And with Pavel Derevyanko their duet seems even more sensual.
