The drug "Longidaza" (injections) is intended only for intramuscular or subcutaneous injections and should not be allowed to enter the vessels. It has proteolytic activity, and also has a chelating, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and immunomodulating effect.

The use of Longidase (injections) prevents the formation of collagen proteins in the fibers, there is also an increase in the permeability of tissue barriers, and the elasticity of the connective tissue increases. There is a decrease in edema, joint function improves, adhesions are reduced and its appearance is prevented, scars are flattened.

The drug "Longidaza" (injections) does not have polyclonal and mitogenic activity, nor does it have a carcinogenic, teratogenic, embryotoxic and mutagenic effect on the body.

The drug is well absorbed into the bloodstream, and its maximum concentration is noted already 25 minutes after administration. Also, the medicine quickly spreads throughout the body and its half-life is about 30 minutes. From the body, this drug is excreted through the kidneys and its half-life is 42-84 hours.

The drug is intended for complex therapy in the presence of diseases that are accompanied by connective tissue hyperplasia (it can be performed after reaching 12 years of age). Also, the drug "Longidase" is used in the treatment of tuberculosis, pneumofibrosis, alveolitis, chronic interstitial cystitis, tubal peritoneal infertility. This tool also helps in the presence of injuries, after pyoderma, operations and burns, with hematomas, arthritis and joint contracture.

In each case, the doses and method of administration of this drug are determined individually and it all depends on the age of the patient, the severity of the disease and many other factors.

Typically, subcutaneous or intramuscular injections are made near the affected area in the amount of 3000 IU, the course is from 5 to 15 injections with an interval between their introduction from 3 to 10 days, this depends on the severity of the disease. If you have a need for a second course of treatment, then it can begin in two to three months.

How to prepare a solution?

For intramuscular or subcutaneous injections, the entire contents of the ampoule must be dissolved in 1.5-2 ml of procaine solution, it can be either 0.25% or 0.5%. In cases where the body does not tolerate procaine, it can be replaced with a 0.9% solution of sodium chloride or water intended for injection.

About cases of overdose with the drug "Longidaza" is currently not known.
