This drug has a wide spectrum of action, it has a bactericidal and fungicidal effect on the human body. After using the Gino-Pevaril agent, the synthesis of ergosterol is inhibited, which regulates the permeability of the cell walls of microorganisms. The drug actively counteracts dermatophytes, yeast and mold fungi, namely: Scopulariopsis brevicautus, Trichophyton rubrum, Cladosporium, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, Aspergillus, Trichophyton tonsurans, Pityrosporumfloris morphis, Microsporumomorfis canis, Microsporumumis morisis , Microsporum gypseum, as well as staphylococci, streptococci and Nocardia minutissima. The medication "Gino-Pevaril" actively acts on fungi that are resistant to treatment with other drugs. After applying this tool, the death of fungi lasts for 3 days, while there is a quick restoration of the skin and itching and burning pass.
Indications for use
The drug is prescribed for the treatment of dermatomycosis, including hair damage caused by yeast, dermatophytes, molds and are complicated by superinfection, and this is multi-colored lichen, erythrasma. Also, the medicine is used in the presence of skin infections, such as mycoses of the auditory canal, vulvovaginal mycoses, onychomycoses, colpitis, fungal balanitis.
A contraindication to the use of this drug is hypersensitivity to its components. Also, the drug "Gino-Pevaril" during pregnancy is not recommended to be taken in its first trimester (in other periods it can be used) and you must carefully use this tool during lactation.
Among the possible side effects that may occur after the use of this drug, it should be noted irritation, itching, dryness and burning of the skin, urticaria, hypopigmentation, as well as flushing and atrophy of the skin.
The drug "Gino-Pevaril" - instructions for use
If you are using dosage forms of the drug that are intended for external use, then apply them twice a day, while the aerosol must be sprayed from a distance of at least 10 centimeters, and the cream should be applied with a thin layer and rubbed well. The duration of treatment is usually about two weeks, but if the drug is applied to highly keratinized areas of the skin (foot), then it can last up to a month and a half. During treatment, for a greater effect, after applying the cream, an occlusive dressing should be applied.
If it is necessary to use candles or cream intravaginally, they must be inserted deep into the vagina, a special applicator must be used for the cream, this is done once a day. If suppositories are 50 mg each, then the course of treatment is two weeks, and if 150 mg each, then 3 days. The course, if necessary, can be extended for another three days and repeated after 10 days. Before applying the cream to wet areas of the body, they must be well dried. If mycosis of the auditory canal is treated, then 2 drops of a solution of this agent are instilled into it, after which the auditory canal is closed with gauze turunda, additionally moistened in the solution.
If the patient has eczema, before using the Gino-Pevaril drug, anti-eczema therapy is first performed. Do not allow the drug to get into the eyes. If vulvovaginal mycosis is treated, then it is also necessary to undergo a similar treatment to the sexual partner.
