How to make gravy fast and tasty

The nature of man has a desire to eat tasty and appetizing. There are two options: either we go to the store for delicious food, or try to cook something on our own. I think it’s not worth saying that there are a lot of dishes today, and that it will be possible to try them far beyond one day. Do you know how to make gravy? If not, then be sure to use my simple tips.

What is gravy and what does it eat

Gravy is a type of sauce, although I do not like that definition. Still, gravy is more than sauce. Most often it is prepared from juice, which remains after frying or stewing meat. The juice is drained, pieces of meat and a little flour to thicken are added to it. But I want to talk about how to cook a delicious gravy from scratch, i.e. without the use of meat juice. How to cook gravy in a whip

My family loves gravy. I usually serve it with pasta, but that's how anyone likes it. I know those who love gravy with mashed potatoes, buckwheat, pancakes. So, prepare the gravy like that.

Take pork or beef, cut it into pieces and put in a frying pan. I always take meat by eye, hoping that the gravy will turn out fleshy. While the meat is fried, I cut the onions in half rings, rub the carrots on a grater. First I add carrots to the meat, fried a little, and send onions there. I continue to fry until vegetables are soft. Then I transfer the mass to the pan, pour boiling water and cook over low heat, adding salt and seasonings to taste. As soon as the meat is ready, I begin to add the following mass. I mix a small amount of sour cream, ketchup (tomato sauce) and flour in a plate. Add a little water so that the flour is well mixed without the formation of lumps. Gradually I introduce the mass into the pan, stirring constantly. I continue to cook and make sure that the gravy thickens. If this does not happen, then you have added little flour. Pour some more flour into a plate, dilute with water and pour into the gravy. Now everything should work out. And the last: I always add a clove of garlic, previously chopped, into this dish. It gives the gravy a special flavor.

How to make mushroom gravy

We will need a gram of thirty dried mushrooms, two or three tablespoons of table flour and vegetable oil, as well as salt, onion and pepper to taste.

So, how to cook a delicious gravy of mushrooms. Very simple. Rinse the dried mushrooms thoroughly and fill with water for five hours, so that they are thoroughly soaked. If you are running out of time, then you can do the tricky thing: soak the mushrooms in boiled water. Although, this is extremely undesirable. Note that after soaking the mushrooms should be transferred to another plate, and then pour them with infusion, which should be filtered through several layers of gauze in order to get rid of sand. We put the infusion with mushrooms on the fire and start cooking (make a small fire).

Rinse the boiled mushrooms with warm water, and then finely chop. Fry the onions in a pan. Make a dressing from flour. To do this, mix it with vegetable oil in the amount indicated slightly above. Refueling needs to be cooled, then pour in it a mushroom broth and dilute. Cook by periodically removing foam. Add chopped mushrooms and onions to the sauce, add salt, black pepper to taste and cook for another ten minutes. This sauce will be even more delicious if you add a little sour cream to it.
