There is such a disease as enterobiosis. What it is? This is an infection, the cause of which is the penetration of parasites into the human body. The disease does not pass either adults or children. But in most cases, pinworms more often settle in the organisms of elementary school students and preschool kids. The reason is a gross violation of personal hygiene rules.
Why does infection with enterobiosis occur?
What are the main causes of a disease like enterobiosis? What is it - an epidemic or isolated cases of diseases?
After pinworms enter the human digestive system, they begin their development from larvae to adult worms. This happens for a month or a little earlier. The most common way of transferring eggs is fecal-oral. But even small insects (mostly flies) and dust can be the cause of the disease.
Particular importance should be given to the water that the child drinks. It is very important to boil baby bottles, thoroughly wash carafes and pots with water in order to exclude enterobiosis. Pinworms are in most cases active at night. By laying larvae on the buttocks of a person, they thereby contribute to re-infection. In no case can you comb itchy places, since helminth eggs (pinworms) can be transferred to a healthy area of the skin.
These parasites are very difficult to cope with. Once in a favorable environment for them (sections of the small intestine,
cecum and appendix), pinworms do not want to just leave the body. The parasites are not affected by heat or cold, since they are only in the human body.
The main signs of enterobiosis
What are some indications that you have enterobiasis? What does it mean? The general condition of a person worsens significantly. There is fatigue, fatigue, and insomnia at the same time. In children, there is a lag in development, a decrease in immunity, allergic reactions appear. A person becomes irritable. Women may be concerned about itching in the vagina or perineum. Malfunctions from the gastrointestinal tract are manifested by a decrease in appetite, loose stools with mucus, and sharp weight loss. Some people experience frequent and severe headaches.
How to treat enterobiosis?
Remember that you will never get sick if you carefully monitor
personal hygiene: wash your hands after using the toilet, use only your toothbrush, comb, towel, often change bedding, trim your nails in time. For children, the cleanliness of toys, carpets and the floor is of great importance.
But if you are still diagnosed with enterobiasis, what it is, you have to find out from experience. The doctor will prescribe an individual treatment. And the rest of the family will have to drink the medicine for preventive purposes.
The patient must undergo a full course of therapy. Adults and older children are prescribed antiparasitic drugs "Vermox", "Adipant", "Liperazin", "Vanquin", "Pirantel", "Vormil". The most versatile and convenient to use is considered the first of this list. It is allowed to give children from one year old. To completely get rid of enterobiosis, one tablet is enough, and the next must be taken after four days. At the same time, Bifidumbacterin should be taken.
But for babies, pregnant and lactating women, some drugs are contraindicated. The doctor can prescribe them the means "Naftamon", "Piperazin", "Pamoat", "Pirvinum", wormwood flowers. Significantly facilitate the state of soda enemas and cotton swabs with petroleum jelly (insert them between the buttocks) at night. And most importantly, do not be discouraged, any "enemy" can be defeated.
