Currants are often used to make alcoholic beverages. Wine, tincture, and liqueur are made from red, white, and black currants. The recipe depends on the consistency and strength of the drink you want to receive. In this article we will talk about how to make blackcurrant wine and some other drinks.

The first recipe is tested by time and a large number of people. In order to make blackcurrant wine, you will need 10 kilograms of berries. They need to be sorted out and the ridges removed. Then we wash the berries in water (cold). Next, we need to get juice from them. To do this, use a juicer. Since pure blackcurrant wine is very tart, with a slightly unusual taste that may not appeal to everyone, we add red grape juice to it. You need to take 10 kilograms of this fruit. Squeeze the juice from the grapes. You can do this manually, or you can use special tools. Next, the grape juice must be heated to 30 degrees. Then add 500 grams of sugar, blackcurrant juice and mix thoroughly. We leave the prepared mixture for fermentation. You can pour it into a glass bottle. In order for the fermentation process to proceed normally, the temperature in the room should be at least 25 degrees. After 10 days, we filter the fermented wine from blackcurrant, using gauze with cotton wool embedded in it. Pour it into smaller containers. Rinse and dry the bottles thoroughly. Cork them with corks and store in a horizontal position.

Naturally, there are many recipes, each of which is good in its own way. To prepare the next version of this drink, we need 3 kilograms of currant berries, one kilogram of sugar and three liters of water. We carefully sort the berries and remove the stalks. Currant has a very specific, tart taste. Therefore, we get rid of twigs that can significantly strengthen it. We wash the berries and pour them into a container with a volume of at least 8 liters. Separately, you need to make syrup. To do this, heat the water with sugar until it is completely dissolved. If the syrup is very hot, it should be cooled to 25 degrees. Pour them with prepared currants and leave for five days for fermentation. Then we filter the blackcurrant wine and pour it into smaller bottles. We cork them and leave them in a cool place. We use as needed.

You can make a stronger drink. Blackcurrant filling is prepared as follows. We take 5 glasses of berries, two glasses of sugar and 700 ml of good vodka. We wash the berries very well and remove the twigs. Then we fill them in a jar of three liters. You can slightly crush them so that the juice appears. Then sprinkle them with sugar. We leave a jar of berries for several days. At times, it is necessary to shake the berries so that the juice appears. After 2-3 days, you need to pour vodka into a jar of blackcurrant. We leave the drink for 2-3 months in a dark place. Then filter and bottle. Blackcurrant tincture is ready, but over time it becomes even tastier. Berries can be reused, only the taste will already be less saturated.

To the taste of alcoholic beverages obtained from blackcurrant, was not very saturated, add a little juice of red or white currant. Blackcurrant has a rather specific aroma, and these components interrupt it a little.

Wine and liquor drinks are usually made from currants. You can also make moonshine. The wines are made dry, semi-sweet and dessert. But always remember that drinking alcohol is contraindicated in certain categories of citizens and should be moderate.
