Champignons - this is one of the few mushrooms that can be grown at home or on a special "mushroom" farm. In addition, champignon is the only mushroom that can be eaten raw. Dishes from this product can be prepared very different. These are soups, sauces or salads, or just fried mushrooms with onions. It is these mushrooms that contain more than two dozen amino acids and useful substances indispensable for the healthy growth of the human body, for example, phenylalanine, lysine, valine, threonine, methionine, cystine and others.
Before we start discussing the preparation, let's think and remember again how to choose the champignons, because nowadays they come to store shelves or to market stalls from a variety of sources. When choosing, the main thing to remember is that mushrooms should be free of browning and damage to the surface. It is worth paying attention to the size of the mushrooms - they should all be approximately the same. This will be an indicator that all mushrooms are collected from one "garden" and less fresh residues from previous unsold lots were not added to them. Ideally, packaged fresh mushrooms should not only have a presentable appearance and the most similar size, but also contain as little land as possible in the packaging, which goes to stores with this product.
There are a huge number of recipes in which champignons play the main roles. It can be either gourmet French soups or just fried mushrooms with onions. Later in this article, we will focus on how to fry mushrooms with onions so that they turn into a real culinary masterpiece.
Mushrooms with onions, despite its simplicity, the dish is quite original. If you take three hundred grams of fresh mushrooms, carefully peel, wash and cut them into small slices, and then fry together with onions in a hot pan, you will get a wonderful dish that can be cooked even by an avid bachelor who does not feel inspired when you turn on the stove.
But if you add one hundred grams of sour cream at the final stage of preparation for these mushrooms and onions, and sprinkle the resulting dish on top with grated hard cheese and green dill, youβll get not just fried mushrooms with onions, but a real little culinary masterpiece.
Let's look at another option for preparing champignons. Separate the legs from the well-washed mushrooms and grind them. Then fry the resulting straws, along with onions and garlic in a small amount of vegetable oil. When the chopped champignon legs are almost ready, add a little cream or sour cream to them. Then we let the resulting mixture cool down a bit and fill the hats remaining after the first cooking step with it. Sprinkle the filling on the hats with grated cheese and spices, and then place in the oven for ten to fifteen minutes.
Do not forget that fried champignons with onions can be combined with the most unusual products. For example, in the process of roasting, not only onions can be added to the mushrooms, but also canned pineapple, diced, prunes and other dried fruits, as well as a boiled and chopped egg or βchiliβ tomatoes.
It should be noted that mushrooms prepared in this way can serve not only as the main dish, but also as a side dish for white meat. And in combination with a salad of fresh vegetables, this dish also turns into an extremely healthy lunch or dinner.
Before frying, the mushrooms can be boiled a little, and the remaining broth used for making soups or sauces. Serve fried champignons on the table both hot and cold (for example, as a cold snack).
