Childhood and youth

The future popular writer was born in 1981 in the city of Salt Lake City (Utah), spent her childhood in Phoenix, and her youth in Driggs (Idaho), where she moved with the whole family. From an early age, her bright creative personality began to appear. The girl came up with amazingly colorful fairy tales that she carried on paper, sang in the choir and participated in the productions of the drama circle. After graduating from high school, Pike Eprilinn entered the Lewis Clark College, where for three years she studied literary and theatrical art. During training, Eprilinn worked part time as a waitress, and devoted free time to participating in performances of the city amateur theater. Her favorite role was Lisa Doolittle from the famous musical "My Fair Lady". After graduating from her studies, Pike Eprilinn received a bachelor of arts degree.

The path to a literary career

Soon after graduating from college, Eprilinne met Kenneth Pike, who became her husband a year and a half later. The writer later admitted that their meeting while serving in the Mormon Church was love at first sight. Together with her husband, she moved to the city of Provo (Utah), where Kenneth studied at the Faculty of Philosophy. To give her husband the opportunity to complete her education, Pike Eprilinn took on the responsibility of maintaining the family, first teaching the waitresses, and later working as an assistant restaurant manager. After the birth of the first child, Eprilinn stopped working and devoted herself to the baby. At the same time, she began to write her first novel, while simultaneously doing editorial work for the spiritual literary agency Testament, for the sake of which she completed a course in editing at Brigham Young Private Mormon University.

Long-awaited success

Soon the couple had a second child, and despite the fact that after graduating Kenny began working as a teacher, the young family still did not have enough money. Eprilinn continued to write and had already completed three novels, but could not find an interested publisher. Young people did not give up, Pike Eprilinn studied obstetrics and began to teach courses for expectant and young mothers at the Arizona Birth Support Center. And her husband continued to work and study at Bryam Young University in the Faculty of Law. A few months later, a literary agent, Jodi Rimer, contacted Aprillin and agreed to submit her work, but the publishers still showed no interest. Then Pike remembered her childhood fascination with science fiction stories and decided to write a book for a teenage audience. She finished her fourth novel almost on the eve of the birth of her third child. After several months of languid anticipation, Harper Teen was finally interested in this literary work. In 2009, after editorial refinement, the debut novel Wings was published. The romantic story of the adventures of the young fairy Laurel and the secrets of the magical land of Avalon instantly became a bestseller. And the novice writer received the long-awaited recognition and confidence that she does not waste time on empty dreams, as she had thought recently. Later in her interviews, the already popular author Eprilinn Pike expressed gratitude to Stephanie Meyer, whose works had a significant impact on her work.
