Many moviegoers are not fans of action films, but, of course, do not pass by high-quality films of the presented theme. Such paintings “catch” the viewer with endless shooting scenes, dizzying chases on luxury cars, thriller and comedy elements, in other words, all the best that you can “borrow” from tapes of other genres. Be that as it may, good American action movies don't let you get bored while sitting in front of the screen.
In our article, I would like to present to your attention the most worthy action tapes. Let’s find out which paintings claim the title “The Best American Thriller”.
Rambo: First Blood (1982)
So, we will begin to review the best films - American action movies. Unlike many sequels, the first part of the story of the fearless warrior John Rambo is not a meaningless "meat grinder", but rather a tragic story about a real patriot who, by chance, is forced to go against his own state. The ideological background of the picture lies primarily in anti-war propaganda, no matter how strange this assumption may sound. If this surprises you, then it is time to review the cult action movie.
The Commando (1985)
We continue to consider good American action movies. Further, I would like to say a few words about one more cult and probably familiar to every film fan movie.
A fearless retired military man who has to fight crowds of opponents and destroy an insane dictator - such a confrontation, after appearing on the wide screens of the Commando action movie, has repeatedly become the basis of numerous imitative films. However, it all began with the story of John Matrex and his personal war against injustice.
Adrenaline (2006)
Surveying the good American action movies, one cannot ignore the action action Adrenaline, which is an explosive mixture of all kinds of folly, incredible pursuits, unjustified cruelty and black humor, incomprehensibly squeezed into the hour and a half hour. Most of the time, the character of Jason Statham rushes on the screen without stopping, cracking down on treacherous enemies and getting out of incredible troubles. All this does not allow the viewer to take a breath for a second.
Fast and Furious 7 (2015)
A seventh of the popular franchise is praised by numerous critics as the best action movie of recent years. In previous episodes, the fearless racing heroes have already conquered the largest megacities of the world, including Los Angeles, Rio de Janeiro, Tokyo and London. This time, fate throws Dominic Torreto and company into the Arabian deserts. Here the heroes are expected by the most expensive cars, the most beautiful girls, the highest skyscrapers and the battle with the famous villains. What else is needed for a cool action movie?
Deadly Weapon (1987)
Surely this film has given rise to a series of fighters in which the good and bad cops are trying to overcome organized crime using their own methods. The picture "Deadly Weapon" stands out from the general series of similar action games, because there is a place for personal drama. The hero of Mel Gibson has to deal with excessive aggressiveness, which develops into suicidal impulses. Against this background, the character of Danny Glover is going through a difficult midlife crisis. All this happens against the backdrop of crazy criminal showdowns and incredible troubles.
“Rock and Roll” (2008)
Director Guy Ritchie once again managed to create an excellent criminal action game, involving in the filming a whole series of skilled actors. The film "Rock and Roll" really deserves the right to be on the list where good American action movies are represented, because the picture competently combines all the cliches inherent in the tapes of this genre. There are a desperate criminal leader, major troubles, car chases, cruel fights, bloody shootings and much more. At the same time, the storyline is filled with a whole mass of original, unpredictable turns. All this makes the film an excellent choice for watching in the company of friends.
Die Hard (1988)
It would probably be a sin to ignore the cult story of "tough nut", thanks to which the whole world learned about such an outstanding actor as Bruce Willis. In the center of the plot is the seasoned American cop John McLane. The hero, without any prerequisites, is at the epicenter of the terrorist operation to take hostages. Can a policeman alone confront a crowd of heavily armed criminals and save innocent people? No doubt MacLane knows how to find a solution in a hopeless situation.
Mechanic: Resurrection (2016)
I would like to not only mention films that have already earned the status of cult ribbons, but also highlight the best American action movies of 2016. One of them, without any doubt, is the continuation of the story of the fearless criminal genius Arthur Bishop. In the next part of the epic, the hero decides to say goodbye to his own bloody past forever. However, the machinations of fate force the famous "mechanic" to face the sworn enemy who abducts his beloved. To protect the girl from suffering, Arthur Bishop returns to business again and takes on what is best for him.
The Criminal (2016)
We continue to survey the best American action movies of 2016. One of the most underrated films of the past year, according to critics, is the criminal thriller “Criminal”. And this is not surprising, because there are a whole galaxy of great actors here, including Tommy Lee Jones, Kevin Costner, Ryan Reynolds and Gary Oldman.
The idea of the film is far from new. The creators of the picture once again decided to place the consciousness of a policeman in the body of a maniac. Nevertheless, the plot idea worked again. A masterful play of actors, excellent directing and camera work - all this allowed the film to receive impressive box office.
“From Paris with Love” (2009)
Bright, fascinating, emotional, unpredictable - the action movie “From Paris with Love” undoubtedly deserves all these epithets. It would seem that the plot of the tape is quite simple. Two police mates, whose roles are played by Jonathan Reese Myers and John Travolta, have to complete the usual government mission. But everything is not going as intended. From the moment they meet, the characters are involved in an incredible kaleidoscope of adventure.
This film really deserves to be reviewed again and again. After all, the hidden "keys" that the scriptwriters left the viewer Luke Besson and Adi Khasaka, you can not catch right away.
