The drug "Asparkam" is an antiarrhythmic, diuretic drug, also intended to restore electrolyte imbalance. This medicine contains in its composition potassium and magnesium in equal proportions, that is, those substances that are necessary for all metabolic processes.
In addition, the Asparkam product is also used in sports. As a result of its impact on the body, a number of human physical abilities increase. For example, Asparkam in bodybuilding is important to take to reduce body weight. It is also needed during training in hot climates. This drug helps with the sudden occurrence of seizures, as it increases the content of K and Mg ions in the cell, as well as compensates for the lack of aspartic acid, significantly accelerates oxidative phosphorylation and the further formation of ATP. The drug significantly increases the tone of absolutely all skeletal muscles and optimizes gastrointestinal motility (due to relief, release of acetylcholine).
Impaired K + metabolism, as a rule, leads to changes in the processes of excitability of nerves and, accordingly, muscles. A sufficient movement of ions supports a very large gradient of K + h \ z plasma membrane. In fairly small doses, K + increases the lumen of the coronary arteries, and in large doses it narrows. That is, this drug has a negative batmo- and chronotropic effect, at higher doses it has a negative dromo- and inotropic effect, and also has a moderate expressed diuretic effect.
Mg 2+ is a cofactor of 300 major enzymatic reactions. It is also a necessary element that is involved in the process of energy expenditure.
The components of this drug are actively involved in the balance of electrolytes, ion movement, membrane permeability, as well as neuromuscular irritability.
Mg 2+ is included in the DNA structure, takes part in RNA synthesis, the leading apparatus of heredity, cell growth, during cell division.
This drug “Asparkam” does not limit its use to the above. It normalizes the excessive release of catecholamine in stressful situations, lipolysis and the further release of free fatty acids are possible.
Pregnant women use the Asparkam drug in exceptional situations, as the results of taking the drug for pregnant women have not yet been described. Therefore, in this case, it is better to consult a doctor before taking it.
The drug “Asparkam” has small contraindications, this is any form of renal failure and hyperkalemia.
Consider the side effects that the drug may have. For example, nausea is possible, discomfort or a slight burning sensation in the epigastric region may occur . These phenomena pass quite quickly if you reduce the dosage of the drug.
The dosage and methods of use of Asparkam are as follows: the drug is administered intravenously, drip or using a special dosing device of the type “Infusomat”.
For intravenous infusion, the drug, which is contained in 1-2 ampoules of 10 ml or in 2-4 ampoules of 5 ml, is diluted in 200 ml of physical. solution or in 5% glucose solution .
The duration of treatment with Asparkam (its use without interruption) is determined exclusively by the attending physician. But, as a rule, this period does not exceed ten days.
We should also talk about the possible consequences of an overdose of this drug. With excessively fast intravenous administration of the drug or with the introduction of the drug in large doses, the development of hyperkalemia and hypermagnesemia is possible. Outwardly, this is manifested by severe redness of the skin of the face, thirst, lowering blood pressure, various kinds of seizures.
In such cases, urgent medical attention is needed. As a rule, a solution of calcium gluconate or calcium chloride 10% in a dosage of 10-40 ml (depending on the severity of the overdose) is urgently administered, measures are taken to normalize breathing and hemodynamics, and other necessary symptomatic therapy.
