Line Description

Judging by the reviews of Tamada wines, this line can be classified as elite. There are 12 main positions, which can conditionally be divided into three categories:

  • Natural semisweet.
  • Dry, controlled by origin.
  • Dry varietal.

All these three categories of Tamada wines are distinguished by a specific design, which is designed specifically to emphasize the individuality of the drink.

What is Kindzmarauli

This wine is always natural semisweet red, no matter what brand it produces. Wine "Kindzmarauli Tamada" has a strength of 10-12% and is made from saperavi, which was collected in the Alazani Valley.

Alazani Valley

The drink has a deep ruby color, it is characterized by moderate ductility, which creates beautiful legs on the walls of the glass. The bouquet “Kindzmarauli” is dominated by fruity notes with pronounced pomegranate, ripe cherries, black currants and apricots.

The velvety, rich taste of wine is easily recognizable. In order to cook Kindzmarauli, grapes with a sugar content of at least 22% are needed.

The fermentation process is stopped when the wine reaches the desired degree, at this point not all sugar has turned into alcohol, which is why Kindzmarauli is called naturally semi-sweet. It contains sugar from the berry itself.

For the production of this wine using Saperavi grapes, which were harvested in the first twenty days of September.

As mentioned above, this is a controlled-name wine by origin, which means that the name “Kindzmarauli” can be worn by a drink for which grapes were harvested in a certain territory, in this case, in the Alazani Valley.

The rivers Alazani and Duruji, surrounding the valley, strongly spring from the banks in the spring, flooding the vineyards. That is why the soil in this zone is rich in minerals. Rumor has it that grapes from the Alazani Valley are rich not only in vitamins, but also in gold and silver. This microzone has its own unique microclimate, which is not repeated anywhere in the world.

This brand is officially owned by Georgia, so no country in the world can produce wine with that name.

Georgian "Saperavi"

Wine "Saperavi Tamada" can only be dry red, its strength is 10-12%. In a thick, viscous taste, bright astringency comes first. The aroma is full of black currants, pomegranate, cherries, ripe blackberries and prunes. This is a young wine, usually its aging does not exceed a year, but in general this grape variety has great potential for aging (up to fifty years). Ripening peaks in 12-15 years. Officially, a wine with that name appeared more than a century ago, back in 1886.

Wine "Toastmaster" with appetizer

Not for nothing that “saperavi” is translated as “dye”. During the tasting, it is enough to take a couple of sips of the drink, and the teeth and tongue will turn purple.

Another interesting fact: Saperavi wine has a deep dark red color, which practically does not change even when diluted with water one to one. Of course, unscrupulous manufacturers and suppliers take advantage of this. And this is another reason to buy products of large, reputable brands such as Tamada.

Wine "Pirosmani"

This drink has a very interesting story. It is named after the Georgian artist Niko Pirosmanishvili. During his lifetime, he never received recognition. But there is one interesting fact in his biography. It was about him that the song "Million Scarlet Roses" was written. He threw mountains of beautiful flowers at the feet of his beloved woman.

Niko Pirosmanishvili

Wine "Pirosmani Tamada" has a deep, dark red color with ruby and pomegranate tints. Its strength varies between 10.5-12.5%. The taste is dominated by black cherries, prunes and currants. Red Pirosmani will be a great addition to fried meat, barbecue, spicy dishes and thick sauces. It can also be served with fruits and desserts, as in the Tamada line this wine is semi-sweet, although other manufacturers often make it semi-dry.
