"Romanovs": reviews of a series of concerned spectators

"Romanovs" - a series (reviews of viewers give him a full description) documentary. This project was dedicated to the Romanov dynasty and the 400th anniversary of the time when they began to represent state power in Russia. The spectacle is truly unique, because there is a lot of animated accompaniment, interesting graphics, as well as interesting art shooting. After watching the historical series about the Romanovs, you can learn about the Russian autocracy, its advantages and disadvantages, and how it was organized, and how the tsarist dynasty ruled the Russian lands.

Learning the story again

Many viewers are interested in the history of Russia. Especially when the rule of the Romanovs lasted. Of course, the school devoted some time to studying this issue. But not all were diligent and assiduous students.

The years of their reign were some special time. Before them, much seems to be a dense Middle Ages, and what happened after the last emperor was renounced from power changed the face of the whole country by 180 degrees. Good or bad - not for us to judge. But many who live in this time period do not feel any relationship with the Soviet Union. But they feel something native in the era of the Romanovs that has left us.

Few conscious adults purposefully teach history. But if there is a free minute, someone is trying to find out something new. Especially if you do not need to make special efforts to study the material.

So, having stumbled on the Internet or using the advice of friends and acquaintances, many began to watch the Romanovs, the 2013 series. This historical film is about the wedding of Mikhail Fedorovich Romanov on the reign of Russia back in 1913. And in the end it tells about the execution of the imperial family of 1917.

Almost exactly

The series "Romanovs", reviews of which only prove the excellent coordinated work of the entire film crew, was shot very beautifully and fascinatingly. Usually viewers write that after they began to watch the first series, it is already difficult to stop. Therefore, as a rule, the entire viewing time takes two to three days.

Romanovs: from Mikhail to Nikolai

A voice-overs reads the text, and the events of that time flare before one’s eyes: the faces of the kings and their close ones in clothes corresponding to epochs and the situation that was then. By the way, especially curious viewers even looked for images of the Romanovs on the Internet, they are convinced that the actors for each role are selected with particular care.

From canvas to the whole canvas

If we talk about the information provided, then the events in the series are set out canonically. It seems that there are no facts that run counter to known events. Of course, to tell about everything that happened over 300 years in just eight episodes in detail is impossible. But the creators of the project did not set such a goal. Most likely, they were counting on a wide audience who didn’t know the story very well, so that he would get acquainted with at least the outline of historical events, on which additional small details could then be strung.

And this is the right move, because few people, except historians, of course, can name all the Romanovs in the order in which they ascended the throne. There is no longer the smallest details of their reign.

Peter II Alekseevich

And yet, in the series you can find quite interesting facts that not everyone knows. One gets the impression that the creators of this project wanted to captivate the audience, and not present to their attention a dry squeeze from the history textbook: in the series there are moments from the personal lives of the characters, as well as some events that can be called mystical.

Strong personalities at the head of the Russian state

This is how he turned out, the Romanov project. The director of the series Maxim Bespaly managed to show the entire reign of a huge dynasty, not in fragments, but in order. Thanks to this, you can compare key events and sort out causal relationships, track how Russia has changed, its appearance, clothing style, customs and attitudes ...

Watching what is happening on the screen, you can learn much more about the personality of each emperor, because each of them was not like the others. And each evoked his emotions. None of them were perfect: the ruler is also a man, and there is good and bad in him. In addition, if one of the viewers wants to evaluate the personalities of those years, it must be borne in mind that the emperor is not an effective manager, but a parent, whose authority was given from God. In those days, there were completely different ideas about governing the country and moral principles.

Perhaps the most prominent figures from the dynasty were Sofia Alekseevna and Catherine the Great. By birth they were not meant to stand at the head of the Russian throne, but they themselves managed to change their fate.

Catherine II

Among the male rulers, this was probably only Peter the Great. Yes, he was cynical, cruel and wayward, but he had his own goals in life. He did not seek his own enrichment, but tried to change the life of his country for the better. He was passionate about his work, did not spare himself. This cannot but cause admiration. In addition, it was Peter who was one of the few Romanovs who was a ruler not only by law. But also by nature.

This is how the series "Romanovs" turned out. Reviews of him from grateful spectators can encourage those who have not yet watched it to quickly include the first series and plunge into the abyss of historical events that began to take place as early as the seventeenth century.

New faces are an added plus

The Romanovs series is not like any other similar projects. Reviews from the audience also mention actors who are practically unknown to the general public. And this is a rather significant plus, because each of them has a historical role, and the train of previous works does not “cling” to an unknown person. And the actors themselves are selected very realistically. In the frame they looked like rulers.

Romanovs - the crowned family

The series consists of eight episodes, each of which lasts 50-55 minutes and tells the audience in detail about events taking place at one time or another. Each king received a lot of attention. It tells about their rule, about their contribution to history, in general - all life from birth to the last day.

This project was conceived as a cultural gift for the 400th anniversary of the Romanov dynasty, from the beginning of their reign on November 4, 1613. Everything conceived, according to the viewers, succeeded, as well as possible!
