Actor Evgeny Vesnik: the birth of a star
This amazing man was born in Petrograd, it happened in January 1923. A newborn baby impressed doctors with a “heroic” weight - six kilograms. The future actor Evgeny Vesnik was born in a family not connected with the world of cinema. The father of the boy, Yakov, was the first director of the Krivorozhstal plant, and his mother was a housewife.
Throughout his life, Vesnik was proud of his original surname. In his Notes of an Artist, he even devoted several lines to her, specifying that the emphasis on her pronunciation should be done on the second syllable. From the Belarusian language, the surname is translated as “morel”, it is not surprising that this is how the boy was teased in childhood.
The tragic fate of parents
As already mentioned, father Yevgeny Yakov stood at the origins of the Krivorozhstal plant - one of the most ambitious metallurgical enterprises located in Ukraine. Friendship with Ordzhonikidze played a tragic role in his fate. In 1937, Jacob was shot on trumped-up charges, like many other people from the entourage of the famous party leader. First, Eugene lived on the money that he helped out by selling clothes and books left from his parents. When he was 15 years old, he got a job as an auxiliary worker. Vesnik happened to become a member of the Second World War, he went to fight for his homeland, forgetting his grievances.
Study, theater

Returning from the front, the young man no longer doubted where he wants to go. Eugene's choice fell on the Shchepkin Theater School, a student of which he managed to become the first attempt. Vesnik received his diploma in 1948.
After finishing Sliver, the young man tried to get a job at the Maly Theater, but he was refused admission. This was due to charges that were brought against his family. The Stanislavsky Drama Theater opened its doors to him . After working in it for several years, Evgeny Vesnik joined the troupe of the Satire Theater. Vesnik’s desire to get into the Maly Theater came true only in 1963, he spent about 30 years as a member of his creative team.
