Kevin was born in 1965 in the city of New Rochelle, in the New York district of Westchester. He was raised: his mother, a housewife and artist, Mary Ellen, and his father, a golf coach and sales manager, Paul Dillon. Kevin's choice to become an actor was influenced by his older brother, equally talented actor Matt Dillon.
In 2006, he married actress Jane Stewart. Their wedding took place in Las Vegas, among the guests were his colleagues in the series "Handsome" - Kevin Connolly and Jerry Ferrara.
