Ammonia

Ammonia is a ten percent solution of ammonium. Inhalation of its vapor entails severe irritation of nerve receptors located on the mucous membrane of the upper respiratory tract. To do this, it is enough to treat them once with cotton wool soaked in alcohol, or place in a solution for two to three minutes.

This tool is also used for cauterization. In this case, it is applied in undissolved form. Also, alcohol can be used to treat skin areas that are itchy after insect bites. To do this, use a clean fleece or bandage soaked in a solution of this product (diluted with water in a ratio of 1:10).

Ammonia also fights odors. To get rid of them in the room, it is enough to drop a few drops of ammonia in a saucer with water and leave for a day. By evening, the problem will be completely eliminated.

This tool is also used in the fight against ants that have flooded the kitchen. To do this, it is recommended to add 100 milliliters of ammonia to a liter of water and rinse the kitchen furniture with the resulting solution. You should not be afraid of a specific smell, it will disappear a few minutes after the completion of the procedure, but it will not be available only for human smell, but it will scare away annoying insects for a long time. This drug is a great helper in cleansing the stove of fat. To do this, put half a cup of ammonia in an oven heated to sixty-five degrees. It should be placed on the upper grill, and on the lower one put a thick-walled pan filled with boiling water. Then the oven must be closed and left for twelve hours. After this time, the oven must be ventilated, then rinse with warm soapy water and wipe dry.

Contraindications

You should not use this tool in the absence or difficulty of reflex conduction from the nose to the brain. In this case, recovery with ammonia will not bring results. In this situation, the intravenous use of other drugs is indicated. The ammonia solution is also contraindicated to be applied topically for weeping dermatitis and eczema, as the tool will lead to even more irritation of the skin and even burns.
