The trade name of the drug is "Gastric collection 3". Shredded raw materials are produced in cardboard packages from 30 to 100 grams, powder - in filter bags of 2 grams (10 or 20 bags in cardboard packs). Sold in pharmacies without a prescription.

It is prescribed for spasms of the gastrointestinal tract, as a laxative for constipation. Decoctions and infusions of collection have anti-inflammatory, choleretic, antispasmodic, mild laxative effect. It is also used for pain of various kinds in the abdomen. The fee refers to the means of regulating appetite.

Gastric collection consists of buckthorn bark, nettle leaves and peppermint, rhizomes of valerian and calamus. This is a mixture of plant herbs in a crushed (up to a certain size) form. Available in two forms: crushed raw materials and powder. The color of the collection is dark green with orange, yellow, white and grayish-brown blotches. It has a fragrant smell. The broth from the collection has a slightly cooling, bitter-spicy taste.

The collection effect is due to the content of buckthorn in the bark of anthraglycosides, saponins and tannins; in nettle leaves - vitamins K and C, carotene, tannins and mineral salts; in the leaves of mint - menthol; in the rhizomes of valerian - ester of borneol and isovalerianic acid, organic acids, borneol, alkaloids, sugar, tannins; in the rhizomes of calamus - essential oil, acorin and tannins.

Gastric collection is contraindicated for people with hypersensitivity to its components, suffering from intestinal obstruction, spastic constipation, appendicitis, bleeding, which has an acute abdominal syndrome, and is also not accepted for any inflammatory processes in the abdominal cavity. Women should not take the collection during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Brewing the gastric collection (a tablespoon or two filter packets of herbs in a glass of boiled water) is necessary in an enameled bowl, which is then covered with a lid and heated in a water bath for about half an hour. After cooling (10 minutes) filter the broth, squeeze the herbs. The resulting broth is added to boiled water to 200 ml.

It is necessary to take the drug half a glass twice a day: morning and evening. Before use, it is recommended to shake the broth. The duration of the course of treatment depends on the degree, nature and characteristics of the course of the disease; It is set by the attending physician.
