More and more often on our tables you can find a variety of dishes with chicken. It is cheaper than pork or beef and cook faster and is great for those who count calories. One of the dishes that can rightfully be attributed to fast, satisfying and low-calorie chicken drumstick, cooked in a sleeve.
This seemingly ordinary plastic bag is a real find for the modern world. Indeed, due to its properties, the sleeve withstands high temperatures, which becomes an excellent option for baking a wide variety of dishes, both vegetable and meat. Another indisputable advantage is that you can cook in the sleeve without adding excess fat, and the products are prepared in their own juice, which preserves the aroma and juiciness of the finished dish. That is why the chicken drumsticks in the sleeve are juicy and aromatic, while quite dietary and very tasty.
In order to start preparing chicken drumstick for subsequent baking, take the chicken legs and rinse them thoroughly under running water. Then we dry using a kitchen waffle towel. Lovers of mayonnaise can pickle shank in mayonnaise with garlic and spices for half an hour. For those who do not use mayonnaise in the cooking process, you can just rub the drumstick with salt, pepper, garlic, paprika and other spices of your choice. You can also use ready-made bags of chicken seasonings. After that, our chicken drumstick is ready for baking.
Further, I can offer three options for the subsequent preparation of this dish. First: just bake the drumstick and serve with a separately made side dish. Second: bake chicken legs with potatoes, which will act as a side dish. And the third: bake shank with vegetables, which greatly diversifies and adds richness to the taste of the dish.
So, let's start with the first option. Gently wrap the chicken legs in spices in a sleeve, carefully close it on both sides, put on a baking sheet. Bake in a well preheated (up to about 200 Β°) oven. The time required for the dish to cook can vary from 40 to 60 minutes. Depending on the number and size of the lower leg.
Chicken drumstick baked with potatoes will undoubtedly become a kind of help if there is absolutely no time and energy to cook. For this recipe, take the potatoes, peel them, cut them into small slices, then salt and pepper, optionally sprinkle with dry or fresh greens of dill or parsley. Then put the potatoes in a sleeve, put salted, pepper or pickled chicken drumsticks on top, add some water or broth. If desired, add chopped onion rings. Carefully close the sleeve so that no liquid escapes. Put it on a baking sheet. The oven should be well preheated and at a temperature of 180-200 degrees bake our legs with potatoes. The third option is a baked chicken drumstick with vegetables. Based on eight chicken legs, we need such vegetables: sweet pepper (3 pcs.), One large carrot, medium-sized onion (whoever likes, can take two), one glass of tomato juice, salt, pepper and other spices, depending on tastes cooking. We wash the washed and dried chicken legs into a large bowl (to make it convenient to mix), we arrange the onion chopped into rings there. We cut the carrots in large strips and pour into a bowl, there we send the chopped bell peppers. The finished dish will look more interesting if you take multi-colored peppers. After all the ingredients are in a bowl, salt, pepper and sprinkle with other spices. Then mix everything thoroughly and fill with tomato juice. We lay the finished mass in a sleeve, which we close well. After an hour in the oven at a temperature of 180-200 degrees our chicken drumstick with vegetables is ready. An excellent side dish for her will be rice or mashed potatoes.
