They look great together on the screen - the romantic face of the artist Anna is complemented by the bold and courageous Egor, whose kindness and strength are felt in his every gesture.
Egor
Lonely Egor also often hears reproaches and reproachful statements of his relatives: as is customary in ordinary Russian families, an adult man is often persuaded to marry. Moreover, Yegor does not cause any complaints: he is a responsible kind person who does not have bad habits and takes care of his neighbors with pleasure. But at the same time, Yegor is very strong in character, and he is not deprived of physical strength either.
To be in good shape, to be able to control difficult situations and fight back in critical cases Yegor is obliged to work - he serves in the police. But during off-hours, he is peaceful to others and will never give an occasion to suspect him of stiffness. The hero loves children very much and takes care of an orphan boy. At heart, a man would like to find a reliable kind girl and finally feel loved. The courageous and noble Egor, the true hero of our time, was played by Maxim Shchegolev, the actor, “House by the River” for which is not the first such film where he plays the main role.
Maxim was surely remembered by the audience for other works - in the filmography of the actor, there are many roles in TV shows and films, where he plays both good characters and repulsive, insidious, but always very charming.
Stanislav Arkadevich
One day, Ani had two fateful meetings that changed her life in the future. First, she falls under the wheels of Yegor’s car. The girl escapes with a slight fright, and the excited young man decides to take care of a new friend and give her a lift to the detriment of the interests of his sister Xenia. Anya takes Ksyusha for Yegor’s wife. Belatedly, but Anya still arrives that day at the art salon with which she collaborates. In search of new interesting masterpieces, Stanislav Arkadievich Filonov, an influential businessman who is interested in cultural objects, looks into this art gallery.
He immediately liked the paintings, which came from the pen of this artist. The man herself also liked the man, looking like the most beautiful flower. Anisov’s innocence fell in love with Stanislav Arkadievich: she’s selfless, she doesn’t pursue profit, and in people she most appreciates their spiritual qualities, and not financial success. Friendship is first established between Filonov and Anya, which quickly develop into love. A significant role in this is played by the support that Stanislav gave his lover at a difficult moment in his life, when Ani's mother was put to surgery.
Sergey Nasimov is a famous actor. The "House by the River" was not a breakthrough for him, but it was one of the significant roles, where the man perfectly conveyed all the feelings of his hero. Wise by experience, a mature, discerning man suddenly experienced a long time unusual sense of love and sentimentality. For Stanislav Arkadevich, Anya is not another easy victory, but a real passion for the heart. He is serious and calls for a girl to marry.

Of course, not only the main characters are responsible for the emotional background of the film masterpiece. The task of actors who play supporting roles is to revive the action, make the main characters show themselves from different angles. The characters surrounding Anna, Yegor and Stanislav Arkadievich are their relatives, colleagues, friends and foes. All the characters appearing in the film are related to Anna: some of them come to the aid in difficult times, while others, on the contrary, try to cash in on the credulity of the girl, and still others can be deadly to her.
All the people who adorned the movie “House by the River” with their excellent play are completely diverse actors. Careless children, patient and caring elderly ladies, cunning and greedy young women, unprincipled and cruel criminals - artists who played secondary characters, became a worthy framing of the main characters and acted as final touches in the overall portrait of the integrity of the picture.
Negative characters
What makes a movie that begins as a romantic story tense and mysterious? Of course, interference in the life of Ani is unreliable. Unfortunately, in our life, a girl who by nature cannot offend anyone can often face severe trials. The kindness and open heart of the main character attract dishonest and envious natures, the number of which only increases when Anna becomes the owner of the legacy of her late husband.
The girl cannot even assume that people who she does not know and who has not done anything wrong will open the hunt for her. Fans of detective investigations and the psychology of human relations should like the movie “House by the River”. The actors and roles depicted by them are colorful enough for the viewer to believe in their existence. Present here are greedy bandits who do not stop at nothing, and even abandoned women, whose revenge is sometimes worse than any bullet.

They help not to be disappointed in people with this fragile and vulnerable idealistic girl. First of all, this is Ani's mother, who for many years was the only ray of light in the life of the heroine. She even feared that such a daughterly affection for her would prevent Anna from finding love and getting married.
Anna is a selfless person. She starts the sale of her next picture, not with the aim of obtaining her own financial gain, but in order to ensure her mother a comfortable life and take care of her poor health. The story is made interesting by the participation of such extraordinary personalities as Inessa, the hostess of the art gallery, patronizing a young artist, Senya, a neighbor boy from Anina village, hopelessly in love with a girl, Valeria, a new neighbor, whom the heroine meets when she enters Stanislav Arkadevich’s mansion .
To summarize the above: the series “House by the River” is undoubtedly a beautiful cinematic work that shows the basics of our life. Without excessive moralizing and drama, as well as scenes of violence and bloodshed, the film conveys to us the basic dogmas of life: not to cause and do not wish anyone harm, not to despair and fight for your happiness.
