Treatment of osteochondrosis of the cervical spine - a successful combination of traditional medicine and alternative methods

Do you know that a huge number of diseases are the consequences of many problems that bothered us in childhood? Doctors say that the vast majority of diseases, including osteochondrosis of the cervical spine, can be considered such. In most cases, it develops during puberty, when the most important process of intensive bone growth occurs incorrectly. The reason may be a frequent incorrect tilt of the head when reading books or working at a computer.

The first signs of cervical osteochondrosis appear even at a young age - the symptoms are frequent headaches that occur due to insufficient supply of the brain with oxygen, as many vessels are transmitted, regular β€œlumbago” in the cervical region, which can be caused by drafts or an uncomfortable position in a dream. In no case should the treatment of osteochondrosis of the cervical spine be postponed, otherwise the disease may worsen and lead to irreparable consequences.

Experts advise you to pay attention to some factors that can make treatment more effective and faster. First, you should always monitor your posture and, in particular, the position of the head. Correct posture implies that the head will not be thrown back for a long time or tilted to the left or right. Unpleasant sensations can occur after a quarter of an hour sitting at a computer with your head thrown back (and this is exactly what happens most often, since monitors are mainly located at head level or slightly higher).

Also, the treatment and prevention of osteochondrosis includes the most careful observance of the correct position of the head and neck during rest. It’s best to use a small soft pillow that can be placed under your head. It should be remembered that not all pillows advertised on TV or in the media are equally useful - made of synthetic materials, such items can serve as a source of static electricity. This is extremely useless as a treatment for osteochondrosis of the cervical spine, in addition, it can have a serious effect on the heart. If the pain does not stop, you should ask your doctor to prescribe medication - painkillers or novocaine blockade.

Another means, perhaps not therapeutic, but preventive, is to train muscles and blood vessels through water procedures - however, only under the supervision of a doctor and in the absence of serious contraindications. It is also important to protect the neck and the entire upper vertebral section in the cold season, for which experts advise carefully covering this area with a collar and, if possible, headgear.

Many patients with experience recommend treatment with folk remedies for a diagnosis of cervical osteochondrosis . One of these is the use of a rubber heating pad filled with hot water. Such a wonderful warming pillow wrapped in a towel can be placed under a sore neck until the water cools completely. The amount of liquid should be such as to provide comfort by evenly distributing the pressure of the head and neck in contact with the surface of the pillow. In addition, folk remedies that make up the treatment of osteochondrosis of the cervical spine, offer a course of simple exercises that do not require special equipment, outside help or special skills.

First exercise: put your right palm on your right cheek and try to tilt your head to the opposite (left) side. This pressure must be resisted for 10-15 seconds, after which the same operation can be repeated with another palm and another cheek.

Exercise two: on the forehead you should put your fingers woven together and try to make your head lean back. Straining the muscles of the neck, this must be resisted for several seconds, then repeat the reception 5-7 times more.

Exercise Three: you need to rest your chin in a fist and try to tilt your head down, while the hand will resist. Like all previous exercises, this must be repeated several times. Combining all these techniques, you can rid yourself of pain in the neck and make the treatment of osteochondrosis of the cervical spine more effective.
