Delicious “Bombs” with tomatoes and cheese (pies) can be made both from a yeast base and using kefir dough. After all, there is no need to wait a long time until the base reaches the desired state, as is the case with yeast dough.
Original pies "Bombs" with tomatoes: a recipe for cooking
Required products for the base:
- kefir 3% thick - 1 cup;
- chilled boiling water - 1 cup;
- wheat flour - 4 full glasses;
- normal size chicken egg - 1 pc.;
- baking soda - 2/3 of a dessert spoon (do not extinguish with vinegar);
- vegetable oil - 4 large spoons;
- granulated sugar - 1 small spoon;
- small table salt - 1 small spoon.
Mixing the base
To "Bombs" with tomatoes turned out lush and soft, you should knead kefir dough well. To do this, the milk drink must be poured into a small bowl, slightly heated on gas, and then baking soda is put out in it. Next, the products need to pour sugar, table salt, pour in sunflower oil, chilled boiling water, beat the chicken egg and add the wheat flour. All ingredients should be thoroughly mixed by hand, so that as a result you get a thick and uniform dough. While preparing the filling, it is better to lay out the base in a bag and leave it aside.
In order to make tasty and magnificent “Bombs” with tomatoes, you will also need to purchase the following products:
- ripe large tomatoes - 3-4 pcs.;
- Brynza cheese - 160 g;
- freshly picked dill and parsley - in the 1st bunch;
- small fresh garlic - 2 cloves.
Preparing the filling
"Bombs" with tomato and cheese are not only very tasty and juicy, but also surprisingly beautiful. In order for your loved ones to enjoy this original dish, we recommend that you strictly follow all the rules for preparing the filling. To do this, wash the tomatoes well and cut them into circles with a thickness of 1.7 centimeters. Next, you need to finely chop fresh dill and parsley, and then grate them with feta cheese, also adding grated garlic.
Dish formation
To make "Bombs" with tomatoes, you do not need to have special culinary knowledge. After all, they are formed very easily. To do this, divide the base into 4 parts, take 2 of them and roll them into identical layers. Next, you need to put tomatoes on one sheet, leaving between them a distance of 2 centimeters. On top of vegetables, you need to place 2 dessert spoons of fragrant feta cheese. After this, the filling should be covered with a second layer from the base and cut out round pies using a bowl of the appropriate diameter. By analogy, the remaining dough is made out.
Heat treatment
The presented dish is fried in vegetable oil in exactly the same way as regular pies. The cooking time in the pan is approximately 4-7 minutes on each side.
